Hard to determine by them pictures, my guess is that it's too early, can you get some better light on them before taking the pictures or maybe no light just flash? look for a macro button (seeking a flower)

In the bottom pic those plants look droopy, is that the strain and supposed to look like that? just curious as I'm still learning myself....

Your plants are getting big, keep up the good work!

No clue why they droop. They are as healthy as can be, but still do it.

I'm so tempted to flower... when is a good time in order to yield 2-3 per?

They are drooping and crinching (the leaves are folding) because you
are over watereing them... I don't grow soil (hydro all the way) but I
can recognize that with your girls...

Looking back at the images, I now noticed that the plants are way deep in those buckets, I'm thinking you are going to have problems in the near future .. not being able to get proper amount of light down there also you may find it hard to water.. I would either pull them out and add more dirt (could be risky) or trim them up at some point but that would mean longer veg period.

Concerning when to flower, if you want more of a yield it may be wise to be patient...

Hi

I'm on my first grow (thanks for your comment). I'm growing DP Blueberrys and topped em the week before I went into flowering. The reason I topped them was when googled about 'topping marijuana plants' I got quite a few general (i.e not strain specific articles) about topping and they mentioned as an example of a strain that responds well to topping as Blueberry (in fact I think one said they need topping).

As said I topped mine and they have all responded very well to it. Maybe some more experienced growers of Blueberry could confirm this is the best route or even not!!!

Good luck!!!

Thanks for droppin' by. I figure I'll top one of my blueberries, just to see if it makes a difference at all. I want to see how tall they grow though, with the small sativa genetics.

Anyways, I looked closer today and I forsure have a BABY GIRL in my blueberry, first 2 little white pistils. This, as of now, is bad news however, because it confirms 2 of the others (the 2 footers) are males. UGH. I will take pics tonight and tomorrow, then if everyone agrees, will chop those suckers.

I have had so many problems with my DP blueberries. but the one of 10 that is genetically normal (the rest were mutants and/or hermies) is just glistening right now @ 30days into flowering. Veg them for a while, they will stay short and fat, and keep them trimmed up, I would go as far to say top them off and get those branches trained and your yield could double or triple if you're clever with it. good luck, they will be soooooo tasty and worth your time, one of my mutants is budding pretty good and smells like watermelon, i can't wait...

Looks like you may have fixed the watering problem but you may still have lighting issues in the future, I'm thinking topping at this point would be wise as the bottoms of your plants aren't going to produce much as they are, so I'm thinking topping, focusing on the top half and colas, I think you can end up with anywheres from 2 - 6 depending on when and where you top, by doing this will definitely give you a bigger yield, this also means longer veg period, however they will still grow tall if given enough time, basically the longer the veg the bigger colas/buds.

I have several topped plants also one fimmed, I ended up with 3 - 4 colas per plant and I must say it's been exciting to watch them bud...

Your images aren't that clear but from what I can see .. the first is a girl and the second is your boy, just as you thought, but don't do anything yet until you are able to get more opinions....

Congrats on the girl!

I thought topped made them stop growing upwards?

And P.S., I suck at FIMing. I did one and it turned out just horrible. I did top one today though (the one I messed up FIMing) and I'm hopin' it works out.

I just wish more than ONE of my EIGHT plants was female. Seriously, what's the chances... Could it be because of the stress I put on them while learning you think?

I am not going to attempt to explain why topping does what it does, but just trust me and also look for more info on it and you will understand. Promise! with BB you NEED to do this and not waste 3-4 months of growing. I made that mistake and am regretting it big time. as far as the male to female ratio goes.... I tend to get more females than males every time I grow. I don't think feminised seeds are worth the money after this round, oddly enough I needed a male to make some seeds and they were all girls, but you should at worst get 3-5 girls for sure even though you stressed them a bit. but keep an eye out bc some of them girls might turn into hermies.. the bad kind that open pollen sacs even inside the buds themselves and you can't spot them. having said that... I just read an article that said pollinated buds reach their full THC potential and other's don't. just bc the glands are there and shiny doesnt mean THC is in them. Man I am so confused. best of luck

Topping is simply cutting off ALL the new growth at the top, not like FIMing which is 3/4 right?

They will still continue to grow upward, at least mine did, you just have to veg longer, as long as it takes to get the height you want, I prefer topping over fimming myself.

I will be crossing my fingers}x{for the girls you seek!

Dude aside from the droppy leafs your plants look great, I hope you get some females in there! Hey Humboldt, would he be able to line the inside of his buckets with something in order to retain more light? I agree that they are in too deep.

Best of luck bro! I will be checking in.

I'm thinking it would be a waste of time and money, I think the best thing to do, is to lift them plants out of the buckets and ad more dirt or top them all and focus on what produces the most bud (colas) as I stated previously..

Hi

I topped mine about a week before going into flower and they have doubled in size since, bushed out plenty and now look like are going to produce two top cola's. As an experiment I also topped one plants top branches and its responded very well to this.

I bought feminised DP Blueberry seeds, 9 germinated, I'm not long into flowering but 8 are defo female one unsure see how it goes.

Good luck with your grow!!!

Well, chopped 7 of the males leaving me with ONE female.

Yes, but she is a beauty hehe Let me tell you though, I'll be going feminized next time around. I invested way too much time into this (and money, trust me) to get 1 female.

I'll throw up pics after class.

OH, and I also topped her last night, following pretty much EVERYBODIES advice on the subject. Thanks guys.

looks like you got some mutations as well. some of mine were so bad they couldnt produce new growth and eventually died. really strange and it pissed me off because 8/10 did this and one out of ten was normal with some hermie traits that I was able to control. not cool after spending all that money, they were feminized seeds. Good job on topping her, let her veg for a few weeks. 0ne 6 foot plant == 6 1ft plants, more or less, and you can make up for your losses by vegging a little longer, and BB if thats what is left, will give you some solid weight on your harvest. The buds are super dense
