The water alone has 8.1 PH but after I put nutrients it drops to 5.8-5.9What is the PH of the water/solution?
If you don’t have a PH reader, get one.
I use two pH meters one reads 5.4 and the other reads 5.8-5.9 I don’t know which one is correctWhat is the PH of the water/solution?

maybe neither? What's the EC or ppm? Those small plants don't drink much, so as the water evaporates the medium might be too hot. When you water those make sure you get a good amount of runoff if you're in coco.I use two pH meters one reads 5.4 and the other reads 5.8-5.9 I don’t know which one is correct

Yh I’m growing in coco500 ppm
One is Apera and the other is BluelabWhat brands are they and when were they calibrated? (If not calibrated, purchased?)
Regardless of the brand, a pH meter will need to be calibrated periodically. Apera uses 4.0 and 7.0 for a 2-point calibration. One is Apera and the other is Bluelab
I second the PH drops.Just use the ph drops…very accurate
Great advice if the OP wasn't in coco. That is nitrogen burn. Lower the PPMs. You'll probably do well to just plain 6.3 Ph water at this juncture.
My Bluelab uses, 4, 7 and an optional 10.Regardless of the brand, a pH meter will need to be calibrated periodically. Apera uses 4.0 and 7.0 for a 2-point calibration.
Bluelab I think calibrates to 7.0, but check manual, it's been a while.
Are you saying it's bright red after you adjust the pH?I use it every feed, before adding PH up and retesting til it's 6-7, the test water is bright red
