When people vote they are imagining the result can somehow sanctifiy things they themselves can't / shouldn't do, which is both appalling and amusing.

There is a common theme in my posts, it has to do with respecting others choices. When you vote, that doesn't happen.

I call you a narcissist because all you care about is yourself and somehow you think your thoughts on something outweigh the thoughts of everyone else as long as you're like super peaceful and stuff. Nations are supposed to act as a team, but all I hear from you is, me and I. You have no clue about unity, or brotherhood.

You think you're so special that you think someone should have come up to you when you were born and ran the entire list of societal commitments by you first, asking for your approval to participate, and if you chose not to, then they should have erased every rule for you and created your own utopia of nobody having to pay anything to create the infrastructure we have today.

That law is exposed to semantics. What words mean.
This could have a big effect on what 2A means to current appellate judges.

I never said it was “all about the historical context” so why are you implying that I did?

If you have difficulty comprehending a two sentence post, a 5 minute video might be too much for you. The video I watched talked about the importance of understanding the historical context of the words “militia” and “state”.

I just wanted some people in here to understand the law and how it works. The individual right to bear arms is protected.
The only way to change this is with an amendment to the constitution.

I made a comment about historical context because the video did. That’s all.

I thought it was a good video and agree with the assessment that the individual right is protected. I didn’t mean to dispute the video. My comment was meant to imply the right, as it’s written, may need updating.

Police don't need to disarm anyone using their guns because no one is armed. Guns are not available so it's not a problem.
