Growing weed sideways

just to let everyone know, i turned my week old seedling on its side and it died after two days. whats the deal with that?
Could be a number of things, if u water u have to stand it up to let the water drain out unless u put holes in the side, u have to raise ur pots also to get them closer to the lights if u put them on there sides....

You could train it to grow "sideways" and grow it along the bottom of grow room in tight quarters and all the branches will grow up get better lighting and you'll get quite a few nice colas but it stresses the plant and slows growth some you weigh the pluses and minuses and go your own way

will a plant grow strait up but the limbs grow toward the light if you have it next to the light

I've come close with great results. I train my plants so the stem is on a 45 and then force them sideway about 2' up. Last harvest I had a bud the size of my forearm elbow to finger tip. I'm no Popeye the sailor man but it was still a sweet bud, and it came off the second branch from the bottom. The top bud wasn't quite as big. IMHO more light = more bud anything I can do to spread out the plant is a good thing.

I utilize it. Some dude from a 2010 post I read called it zero stress training. He used rings and then attached the part he wanted to tie down so when he put it back up right it stayed tied down. I just used it for a few days here and there to stimulate lower node growth rotating it 180 degrees anytime the upper leaves started covering lower nodes. I dont know if it helped overly but I never topped my plants and they got a decent amount of nodes for what it is.

I lay them down flat and run the main stalk horizontal. I train branches/bud sites to grow out away from the main cola so they get direct sun.

i get more individual colas in this manner, and I can keep almost all of them in direct sun.

That is comedy gold, sorry ;p. Do more research before you dive into something stupid, plants are living things too, at-least give them a good run at it.

Look into vertical growing, same concept, but far better for the plant.
