Growing in soil

Hi All, I am looking for a beginner way to grow a mother plant indoors. I have the lighting and temps controled but have no idea what soil to use and what nutes to use, I am looking for the simpliest way to grow a mother plant.

Agree. Add an HID of your choice. Or a high output CFL.

That's it? Awesome tyvm.......I have a 4 lamp t-5 on chains so light should be good. I don't need nutes just the soil?

You'll need nutes eventually, especially if you keep your mother around a while. You could also trim the roots and add fresh soil to the pots and that could supply some but any vegging nute should be good, canna specific or otherwise.
