Growing decision

Fellow friends off green, I need some help in planning my grow area. I plan on building a stealth cabinet for my grow room, very small area for no more than maybe two plants tops. Likely start with one.

I know how I will build it and ventilate it, but the lighting is my only "hanging" question. Based on all my research, I think I would like to be able to use both a MH and HPS lighting for the best lumen's. For such a small area (probably 8-10 sqft) I was thinking 100 WATT MH and HPS lights. Therefore, my questions are below (but not limited to the below):

1. Is the area fine for one or two plants?
2. Should I scrap the HIDs and go CFLs?
3. Do I need a ballast for the 100 WATT MH and/or MPS?

If you can think of something I should consider your criticism or suggestions are much appreciated. Peace

Yes

I would stick with the HID's, or get some T5's.

All MH/HPS will need a ballast. No experience with the low wattage ones, but it's possible they will integrate into the fixture, or you might be able to get self ballasted bulbs. You could always email a vendor and ask :)
