Grower vs Dealer: who should make more?

i just have a party about every three months and charge my friends 100 bucks to come in and at the end of the party they all leave with at least 6 ounces or more of the best shit in the world! "cause im not greedy" i even turned down a raise at my day job cause "im not greedy" why is making every penny you can called greed? to me greed would be selling them an ounce for 500 and then pulling out a gun and robbing them for your weed! not making every penny you can is called stoopid in my eyes...
 
As it was already mentioned in this thread, there are two main things to remember when analyzing why prices are the way they are; SUPPLY AND DEMAND and RISK VS. REWARD. That's all anyone has to know. People need to have more pride in their work. What, you don't think your buds are worth top dollar? I don't know about you, but I would personally charge as much as anyone would be willing to pay if I were someone who sold.

Yeah, we understand this, it's called greed. It's a plant, the asking price should have nothing to do with what people are willing to pay. You are exploiting their naivity. Once you start growing you understand what a piss take cannabis prices are, cots sweet fuck all per ounce to grow yet we, well others, not me, fuck people over for every penny they can get simply because they'll pay. I prefere not to be a greedy cunt.

From grower to dealer it averages 50% markdown. So if pounds are going for 3,000 dealer gets it for 1,500. When you start to deal in smaller quantities the markdown lowers so if an oz goes for 300 dealer gets it for no less then 200. If you are in the position of dealing 5-10 pounds to one person on a regular basis then it doesn't really fucking matter what the markdown is.
 
THE GROWER is the supplyer - so if there is a low supply of a good -

then the law of supply states that the price of that good should increase


so the grower should make more.

Why are you assuming people are naive or stupid?

People know cannabis is easy to grow (hint. . .most Americans call it WEED), and they also know its ILLEGAL. Again, not everyone CAN grow it themself, not everyone WANTS to grow it themself, and plenty of people don't mind paying someone ELSE to do most of the work and take most of the risk.

Nobody willingly shells out $400 an ounce for something they don't want! Supply. . .demand.

Nice to hear you're giving away all the weed you can possibly grow for free. You should probably be growing more and giving that away too.
 
i only read the first 40 posts, but it seems to me that the dealer will make more because he is selling in smaller quantity. the grower is selling in bulk to unload it. both sides have a risk but the grower is a manufacturer of weed and if he sells any, they are also a dealer. so the grower gets caught he has 2 counts against him where just the dealer gets caught he has 1 count against him. also if the dealer gets caught, the grower has to be worried about being snitched on.
 
dude, the grower needs to make the most, they have spend the tiime and money on their electric bill to be shorted. screw mark up if the dealer can deal wth making a 100 an OZ then he needs to move the fuck on
 
as a pro grower... I can tell ya it only costs me around $2-3 a g to grow indoor... 50- $75 a ozer

I get $200 a oz at the store......$125-150 profit per oz

they sell it for $10-12 a g.... get $280-336 a oz....$80-136 profit




...........................the grower should always make more until the market gets saturated...

with legality of marijuana on the horizon...Cost will drop in public outlets which in turn will make the growers askin price drop too
 
i think its a compicated question to answer.
a grower takes the time (say 3months) and the risk of having the grow, and for that he gets his weed for a cost of next to nothing (im not including equipment jus to try and keep things simple). say he sells all his weed wholesale for 200oz hes probably making 150ish profit which whatever way u look at it is good business, he doesnt really have to leave his house or deal with lots of dodgy people to get that money.
the dealer on the other hand has to run about everywhere and build up contacts and take a lot of risks in order t0 make his money, where i live a dealer can make jus under 400oz. which seems like alot more then he should be again you need to factor in all the time and running around that goes into it.
i think the grower will always make more 'real' money as he doesnt have to do a lot to get it in the first place, the dealer on the other hand will make more but will have to work harder and take more risks for it. which is fair because without the grower there to start with the dealer wont beable to make a penny

It is a risky business all together where I'm at so I may be a little biassed. With that said in my circles we all have similar things at risk and never sell to a new face. If your willing to take some extra risk and work 100% minus grow cost obviusly, but that make for great margins.
