Green Crack - Aero - Scrog

This was definitely one of those times I was super paranoid about smell. lol. I have to say that Green Crack is very fragrant. Like a Fruit with Skunk undertones. I tasted one of the buds as a sample. Dried 2 or three days. And without the cure it already tastes exactly like it smells. I wish I was better at giving descriptions but I haven't developed that yet.

Oh and yes it was very sticky in there. It felt like sap dripping off of a tree. As if the buds were leaking.

This plant could probably be pulled as early as 50 - 52 but I have read 60 days is better. On the last round I pulled at 55 and it was perfect. So this time I took half of the main tops at 55 then 56 and 57.

And done!


Everything is hanging now and beginning to dry. One issue... I leave on Saturday gone until next Thursday. Should I leave them hanging (which is way to long of a dry) or just jar them and bring them. I'll be driving.

Next issue is the Skywalker OG is already to big for the veg tent. So another week especially unattended will result in a bunch of burnt tops. So not sure what I'll end up doing but these thing should explode once under the 600 and getting SCROG treatment. They are nice and bushy plush I topped them when they were young. They should be pretty easy to bend. There will be a ton of trimming to do. But that's okay because I can make clones for the next round.

Here are the last couple of pictures. Not quite as glamorous but still part of the process. Next is clean, clean clean. Light off a mite bomb and make the switch.

You could put some water in the tub and hang them in the bathroom with the door closed. It'll stink up your car and you and the smell will linger for years!

Transfering the Skywalker tonight will leave with straight tap water and fill the rez as much as possible. Ph will be 5.5 to allow it to rise up over the next 5 days.

Fingers crossed I always get really nervous leaving my setup for longer than a weekend.

NTS: EZ Cloner Tips require approx. 25 gph per tip.

SMH, adding more tips doesn't help if your current pump isn't strong enough to make them spray. I no longer have an aeroponic setup I have a drizzle drippy system. Off to the hydro store.

I added some more tips to the flower room because it wasn't getting enough spray... Well it wasn't the number of sprayers it was the number of GPH.

Well nothing died. But nothing looks as amazing as it did...

Recovery for the next two weeks.

Ballast just blew up the other night. Really starting to get bummed. Burnt out.

I have some CFL's on them now but I can't flower like this. We shall see what happens over the next week or two.

Are you in SoCal? I have a light you can use.

I emailed the manufacturer of the ballast (Ipower 600 Watt). They told me there is a two year warranty and I just so happen to be within that time frame. They said send us the serial number and we will get it replaced.

Cool of them to be on it but I will never buy Ipower again. Very low quality. At least they stand behind their product. So there is one plus out of this last week.

Girls look like they are recovering. I lost my Green Crack mom but still have the skywalker OG. Oh and my buddy dropped off this crazy indica we nicknamed "SnowG" cause it grows slow as hell but covered in trichs.

Also still have Mystery seed #8, #4 and #whatever. I had another one but she hermied out and I cut it down. <-- That is not something I want in my garden.

Good times and bad times. Just so damn frustrated right now. I almost ripped all my plants and tore the tents down. Luckily I refrained and smoked some meds. GF and good friend of mine talked me off the ledge.

Sometimes it's tough but I am hanging in there. Between Work, Growing and life it keeps me pretty busy, lol. I need 30 hour days so I can have more time to sleep.

Thats shit news mate, sorry to hear it but at least they're gonna replace it.
I keep a cheap magnetic ballast that i got 2nd hand for £20 as an emergency backup ballast in case 1 of my digitals goes bad but hopefully i never have to use it (well not soon at least as they are only 3 months old)

Well I got a hold of IPower and they informed me of a 2 year warranty that I am still in. Whew...

I have to send them the old one and provide a tracking number then they will send the replacement.

Some more good News the Skywalker OG is in full recovery. I did the first round of SCROG trim. Changed the nutes and did some maintenance.

I wish I would have taken pictures while they were healthy. Looked so pretty before being completely neglected and left for dead.

I'm maybe a 1/4 of the way through the tent. We only trimmed for a couple of hours last night. And I love SCROG!!!
So much more fun trimming a bunch of fat nugs then just one big cola and a bunch of tiny shit.

Needless to say we are not done trimming. I'll be leaving work today going to knock out another chunk before dinner. Then try to finish everything before Thursday. After that it's off to Vegas for a week and New Years.

Not sure How everything is going to work out. I do not want to overdry my buds. So I may have to jar them and bring them with me... IDK. Just play it by Ear I guess.

Sucks to hear about your Ipower, I guess I got lucky. Been nearly 3 years and still working good.
Although their Ipower bulbs suck poop, had to spend another $100 for real MH/HPS bulbs.

Yeah the bulb that came with it blew after a month. They did replace it though. So it's kind of bitter sweet. Their shit sucks but at least they will replace it, haha.

Yea for sure, I hope if my newest Ipower breaks down they do the same for me.

How do you like the green crack so far? I have one seed of it I was leaning about 80-90% of the way to pop it after my CK.

Smoked some random dude out last night and said he doesn't smoke but on rare occasions. Took a rip and said he would like some more, lol.

It's kind of a fruity skunky smell. Has great bag appeal and looks super frosty even dry. Yield is medium but I am a huge fan. Sucks though cause I lost my mother plant when I was out of town. I had a clone only strain here in CA.

She gave me a bunch of decent size nugs but no donkey dicks.

Another plus for me is she finished in 55 days

My Scott's OG is like that. A perfect smoke, fast grower, and easy to trim. Unfortunately a few phenos smelled like garlic and feet

The #1 Pheno has that nice piney classic OG smell. She is the one I crossed with Jilly Bean, Paki Punch, and a Scott's.

Got my new ballast already. We should be ready to start flowering next week. However I am leaving town again for work and will be back and forth until Feb. I am thinking about delaying flowering but then I will be dealing with a plant that is to big.

I am not to sure what the stretch will be like and throw another variable in there and that is the SCROG net. So we will see I guess. Any suggestions?
