Forgot about the Volcano Girl Clone update. Pulled it out to check rapid rooter. Still moist. Went ahead and trimmed the leaf tips so they aren't always in full contact with the 2 liter bottle.
Guess who woke up and was standing this morning when I went out and checked on her. Thats right. The Little Clone That Could and wishes a motherfucker would!! Haha.
Well, I checked on The Little Clone That Could this morning and she must be rooted and doing alright. She sent a shoot up with a couple nodes. Kinda crazy how far it shot up before growing some leaves.
Did some defoliation this evening on my Volcano Girl plant who is on Day 21 Of 12/12. I went ahead and took a couple of clones and dipped them in some aloe gel and dropped them in a jar of water. We will see if they root and reveg.
I tossed the clone that rooted into a solo cup with happy Frog in it. It is really doing well and there are actually a couple roots sticking out the bottom. The clone is from the "slow roller" plant in my random bag seeds journal. I would like to keep it around until I harvest that plant in case it's worthwhile. I bought some 5ish" square containers for keeping moms. If I replant that, how much can I top it in order to keep the size down? Also, is FFOF OK for that purpose or should I use something else? When I took the clone, it had just started to flower and has 1 tiny flower on top. It's been under 18+hours of light every day since I cut it. Do I need to wait until it re-vegges or can it be topped and replanted now? Thanks in advance.
i cut clones and trim them like a bunch of flowers and put in a glass bottle with the stems trimmed to the same length and the water about 1-2cm covering the stems
trick is to give them enough light. just need to top up the water once a week or so
Hypothetically speaking, if I were to cut this gal down in order to reveg and clone, what would be the proper precautions for bringing her back inside?
