Bulletproof Glass. I use to see him post on here but I'm not sure if he uses these forums anymore. Not sure what the best way to contact him is but I know he has a facebook. Definitely some solid work for great prices.

Dankshizzle was his name on here. I ordered a few things from him. He does some nice work. The pic below is an example of a really kick-ass monster bowl that he makes several variations of. I have ordered 6 of these from him, and this is one of them.

It was my favorite bowl, a beautiful thick fumed piece. If this bowl had some glow in the dark, and a little dichrome, it would be my perfect piece.

the spiral on that is awesome. i see how it was done and il start messin with stuff. i can't promise anything i literally just started melting glass so have patience and i bet il come up with something. i got a pile of glass to burn through for training material so I'm sure somewhere on the road il be able to make something for ya.

i might even be able to fix that one too. idk lemme get some practice.

I'm sure someone else on here could probably do it quicker tho but who knows. il letcha know around here when I'm ready to start doing stuff.

start w beads, marbles and pendants. boro work isn't nearly as easy as a skilled glass blower makes it look. I've worked at it, have a torch, kiln, tanks, graphite stuff and tons of glass... after a while my neck pain began to be an issue. dropped that hobby, so may be unloading glass, or save for rainy day. / > You need very good ventilation from a high powered fan if you're using color.

ya i got a pretty narly set up going. i feel like I'm doing it right. its all set up and nearly no torch time so far.

i got a nortel major/minor double or whatever you would call it.

i got a pile of soft glass too and your right the working temperature of the soft glass is much wider then with the boro. boro likes to either be just too hot or just too cold. that perfect working point takes time to feel.

you got any tanks you don't want?

Do you know a lot of people who got sick/cancer from working with color or bad/unsafe conditions back in the 90's Abe?

As someone who has been around welding, and lead making, I can say without hesitation that metal vapor and dust is very bad for the health.

gonna keep entire glass hobby kit together for now, kiln is the best item. (ill keep tanks in mind...) only known a few glass ppl and the one that died at 29 was from H. / as far as particulates and fumes toxicity you know it when your around it from experience. seen it in gardening (perlite, rockwool, guano, dust, etc), ceramics (lithium, haa) and glass metal fumes.OP - did you find a glass person yet? ask about Alex at Su Casa in Lansing. Or find a guy named 'Kenny', ha, think Det. burbs. kinda random, all these, Or just hit 42 degrees in A2 near the garden klub.

the su casa guys are all pretty cool. they used to come into the shop i worked at a lot. i always looked forward to it.
