People mist there plant quite a bit and also do foliage feeding too to increase nutrients. As long as your not having a problem with humidity it is fine. It is very dry in the desert so I do it when they are young seedlings often and occasionally throughout. And wow you are truly baked my friend. stoned thoughts are funny as shit sometimes.

I mist untill they get so big it would take forever. Just a stoned thougt. I can't see how it would hurt.

unless i broke the plant moving it to the shower.

some are big.

current grow 12/12 from seed today day 74 . day 71 . they just may stay untill harvest.

Well maybe when there vegging, but you wouldn't plan a outdoor grow and have it possibly rain during your flowering cycle

I can be the first to think of this. But no where on this sight can I remember anyone posting about giving a shower. So if it works I should be able to find something. As I will never be the first to do anything in life. There are just too many people to think I would ever be first at anything.

I had mites at one point in veg mode.. I'm still in the process of growing the plants I'm speaking of and its my first time.. I tried some chemical spray, but like a beginning I couldn't wait for the mites to die so I keep spraying and ended up almost killing my plants.. the chemical was eating the leaves worse than the mites.. plus the mites weren't leaving.. so i threw them into the shower (my actually bath tub) for about ten minutes... put them back into the closet with the lights and two days later they look awesome and had no mites.. The mites came back a week later so I gave my babies another shower..for about five minutes... Its five six weeks later and four weeks into flowering and I haven't seen any mites since... And my babies are growing lush and strong..and hearty as hell

Good I'm not the first to think give her a shower. And this may be a cure for mites. I added a tag for that.

I was thinking I would like to wash off 11 weeks of what ever landed on her. Like when you eat fresh fruit you wash it first.

funny thing happened a day after posting that last comment... mites came back.. apparently they can come in through fresh air, if thats how you ventilate your grow room... mites are attracted by fertilzers too...conveniently i had just fertilized my plants bc they were showing nut defficiency. I put them in the shower agian and bamm.. no more mites again. just to be safe i bought some ladybugs and had them overnited from cali. I heard you shouldn't spray too much water on your plants when they are flowering because of mold...i'm sure that won't happen though if you have good ventilation and air circulation with low humidity.. just thinking off the top of my head.. you know what, this is my first grow and i've learned alot

Again welcome to riu. I learned a lot by posting a journal, after a 1/2 page reg's started and lot's of advise. good and not as good but from the heart.

so read watch and learn, and last and not least grow away.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
You dont want for it to be too moist during the dark cycle and have it carry into the light cycle.

sounds...like a smart idea...anyway i would say not to do this often...i worked on a golf course and was told not to get the plants leaves wet...the water dropplets reflect the sunlight and in turn is not good for the plant...

Hey everyone... I've been trying to spread a word about the legalization of marijuana.. i'm not sure about this sites rules on this but here it goes... On 420 this year... april 20th 2009, It will be "the marijuana legalition national call day"... Call your local state representative and leave a message with your name, district, and a statement saying you support the legalization of marijuana and Bill HR5843 which legalizes marijuana federally.. Spread the word.. tell everyone.. we can only do this by getting everyone involved!! Google "state representative contact, phone numbers" or something like that... you'll find your district and state rep pretty easily

I shower low pressure about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks before harvest.

Taste is a lot better, maybe I wash weeks of dust away giving just time to heal. Also the is the best (strongest) I grown yet.
