I am surprised a plant that big hasn't shown balls yet if its a male. From what I have seen, males will show pretty quickly, seems like usually by the 5th node. IMO I would think female
 
Big up for the late showing males though, the sneeky tings! Still not found out why breeders deem this as a favourable trait (late showing males that is).
 
i have only heard subcool and dj short talk about this, neither are real men of science but have produced a few dank strains so i believe at least half of what they say.

it is something to do with the old school hemp that was used to crate modern day cannabis, for years breeders chose the plants that flowered sooner and produced more as it made sense from a commercial point of view. it has been noted that the longer a female plant goes un-fertilised the more cannabinoids it produces, if a male takes an extra week to bust it's nut the females will have produced more thc etc and as the plant evolves it will eventually mean that strains will become stronger and realise they are meant for producing the things that get us high and not the other things we used to use hemp for. yes they believe the plants are learning and that by us choosing to keep the most thc producing ones that they will continue to get more potent.

many people are unaware of the history of the majority of the fruit and vegetables that we eat today, they were nearly all created by man selecting what he did and didn't want from his crops. this has lead to crops that can feed a thousand rather than a dozen, fruit that instead of picking for 2 weeks of the year you an pick for 10+ etc.

this is now what is happening with cannabis, once it becomes fully legal it should be fun to see what they can really do with itbongsmilie

i should also note since they germinated they have not seen darkness until today! that no doubt has something to do with lack of sexual maturity, i noticed a few funny looking pre flowers so i can deduce that they are the early males but i'm not gonna rush this, every plant is gonna get what it deserves.
