That's fine and everyting and a noble thought, but the cooling has been dialed back a little bit. ok imho too much, but too each his own. That just needs to be made clear. Nothing new, wish they would just stop cutting corners on the cooling, that is still the downfall of any of the "sub" Top shelf lights....since they stopped using slugs, well not kind or lush or black dog or....lolTo give a bit more info, the smaller lights use a Meanwell HLG-240H-tC1400B driver, whereas the larger lights use their own proprietary drivers that do not feature dimming. I believe that the proprietary drivers also run at around 1400ma, so you get a small boost to the lumen output over the 1050ma on the data sheet at the cost of some efficiency - not a huge difference from my understanding.
Still, 2 of these CLU048-1212 chips are roughly equivalent to a Vero 29 4000k "D" type chip with better coverage for small grows. Not a bad investment for those who can't (or won't) DIY and don't want to shell out the cash for Timber or TastyLED lights.
anyhoo...
