Nice change from the sea. I was in the Navy for 4.5 yrs stationed in Norfolk. Loved the east coast for the color in the trees and landscape, but I love the growing weather and coast her in Cali. Smoke in the valley has just been messing with my allergies, but a buddy of mine posted a pic of sonora about a week ago and damn it was smokey.
i was just in maine last week getting the seaweed and was on the boats for a couple days (long enough ) i lived on an island for most my life so its sure different in the mountains here it was good to smell the ocean air and listen to all the lobster boats there ,everyone is a fisherman there and we got over 20 lobster boats in the family between brothers , nephews and inlaws and have a lifetime supply of seaweed to work with here in ca. when i came thru reno it was smokey as hell there yesterday 003.jpg

My wife and I moved to monterey for 10 year before coming back to the valley. I really miss the coast, but damn is it expensive to live there. Speaking of your seaweed, when are we gonna be able to buy some?

We come from very similar areas, my brother, father, mother, uncle, sister and her husband and so many relatives are fisherman/fisherwoman, I really gotta start my own seaweed extract. Everything is looking good. On another note, my plot with swamp skunk and stumbleweed got piliged by rabbits. I have two left that are female and flowering, I think one of each but not entirely sure

Guess I shouldn`t complain about getting 2.75-3.25 a pound. Theres no way to make even a penny at $1.75 a pound. That`s insane, the industry will hopefully pick up within the next few years.

its nuts being so cheap but everyone is getting 10 lbs + a trap so they still are doing 2000-3000 lbs a day. alot of the guys are air freighting their own lobsters to auction and are getting 2-3 dollars but they had to cover the start up cost for tanks trucks etc . just more hours for no pay doing it

Can get 4 easy per lb where Im at. As far as Im concerned the medical can hold off a bit longer in this area, Ive know from others what It does to prices.

Prices are low here too, 1500 for a pound of outdoor if your lucky, hydro for 1800 a pound if you know where to look. As far as lobsters, we were getting like 1500 pound day average, about twice the norm for here, and the best port around, some areas were pulling 500 pounds a day and that was great for them....

002.jpg005.jpg007.jpg008.jpg011.jpghere's the 2 strains that will thrive here in ca. lol out of all the strains these 2 will be what we grow for now on here the first pic is madd jack and the other pics are the sea hash strain ,extremely stinky fruity skunky buds rock hard and very easy trimming . well into budding another 3 weeks +/= on them and they will be done . start these at the right time here and they will be giant solid bud bushes. started outside june 10 after the first heat wave killed the first ones they are doing good just at 90 days from cracking seeds so far

sleestack 001.jpgsleestack 002.jpgsleestack 003.jpgsleestack 004.jpghere's the juan getaway after 15 days of 12/12 and a rough start with the wife watering with chloramine laced water supply, I remedied that quickly with r/o water. Hopefully the next 6-7 weeks will allow it to show its full potential! Thankyou kind sir for all your input and help! Such a lovely lil strain juan is! I still have a few more to break into too! Cant wait to try the island afghani!
