Yeah I love dachshunds too, I dont look that masculine walking them but I dont care, they are damnnn cute! lol our dogs are ok, I mean, they are like any other dog really, they bark at anyone passing by or any dog they dont know, and they are very stubborn...somtimes they listen and sometimes they dont, I guess you can call it selective hearing lol

i used to work at petsmart as a dog washer. dachshunds were always mean little dogs. they definitely had "little man syndrome". i got bit more than once...

i also thought i was gonna see some "puppies" lol. here's my great dane at 8 months! i fucking love this dog hes got a great temprement as i've also got a 16 month old baby who crawls all over him! i would recommend great danes to any one just remeber. big dog means big shits to clean up after! lol:mrgreen:

my dog is in my avatar.......115 lbs of solid muscle!! no clipped ears or spiked collars here. he's a big pussycat.

new shihtzu puppy for the kids. it's funny because she scares the beejezus outta my pitbull.

i dunno if all mixes like him are tough or if its just him but he is extremely tough. he once got a metal pole stuck thru his lower eyelid when he was in his cage at night. those were some of the most bone chilling squeels from a dog ive ever heard. his face was litterally stuck to his cage and he was using all his strength (which is supprisingly alot for his size) to try to get free but in the process he was just ripping his lower eyelid. well once we got him out he was bleeding a little and we put him down to lay down but he just got up and started rough housing with my other dog. (we took him to the vet and thankfully no damage)

and he is a VERY dense dog. he is about 3 or 4 inches longer than the length of my elbow to the tips of my fingers and he weighs more than my brown dog. (keep in mind shes half german and beagle. beagles can get pretty fat and germans are pretty big too) my black one weighs probably 35-45 pounds. all muscle too. not an ounce of fat on him. and he has a bigger neck than me. his is about 17 inches around.

both of his breeds are also notorious for being hard to potty train. and the french bulldog in him gives him EXTREMELY bad gas. those types of dogs swallow their food whole and then chase it with ALOT of water. which in turn gives them gas. ive kept track a few times and he has drank water non stop for over 4 minutes.

got anymore questions? i love dogs.

edit: oh and he is a good gaurd dog too. not very good protection wise due to his size but he will let you know if anything is going on.

Well hey if we do get one...at least we'll have one guard dog in the house.
Nah...you've pretty much answered all the questions I had. Although if they get to 35-45 lbs we'll def need to get a girl...Moosie won't like a boy of similar size walking around his house.

they dont get big, he is just a heavy dog. think size wise a little bigger than a french bulldog or a solid boston with shorter legs.

That presa canario looks so tough haha.

I found a lump on my dogs back last night, and this morning she cant get up. We took her to the emergency vet clinic, and they cannot see anything. But shes going back to our normal vet during the week. She can walk kind of slowly but cannot get up from laying down, and struggles to stand up from sitting.

how old is she? might be arthritis and the lump could have nothing to do with it. older dogs get tumors but usually they are cancer free and nothing to worry about. my older one has 2. and ive seen plenty of dogs with lumps while working at petsmart. i even had t wash one with easily over 150 tumors. it was disgusting but sad at the same time

Shes only seven, so not that old. I dont think its a tumor so much, my older dog had cancer and she had tumors. I think maybe a muscle tore or something like that.
