Yea thats good thinking man but how can regulate who gets dog, the sentence should be bigger for crulty to amimals and irresponble owners!

Hmmm...I don't know. That's the tough part. Most people who abuse animals rarely get caught...so maybe a psych evaluation of some kind. See what type of person you are. How you view animals. How you think they should be treated. etc...etc... It would be tough to say the least.

Wow you guys all got bulls/pits haha, ill mix it up a bit. It is a shame they are banned in Ontario though. And I hate seeing people have to put mussels on them.

This is rustie, German shepherd x border collie x greyhound. Kind of a weird mix because she still has the herding instinct from the collie, shes fast as all hell from the greyhound, and shes a relatively big dog that ill attribute to the shepherd. Shes 79 lbs.

Lol...Cute face. I don't muzzle moose EVER. They only want pits muzzled so it's easier for other dogs to mess with them.

:lol::lol::lol: My first thought at the thread title was that this had something to do with female members getting their 'pups' out! hahahaha

Sorry ladies..:oops::mrgreen:

haha after i saw this thread it made me call my dogs by me too. the black one is sitting sleeping on my lap right now

I think all Terriers think they're lap dogs for some reason. My dog will crawl up into my lap like a chihuahua. I look at him like "WTF" and he'll look back like "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA? You love me...Gimmie cookie. :)"

lol i love lap dogs. french bulldogs were bred to be lap dogs for the rich women in france back in the day. like 1700s i think. so my black one will do ANYTHING for a spot in your lap and a belly rub. he snorts like a pig too cuz of his short snout like nose.

my brown one thinks shes a lap dog too. but a dog only a little smaller than a german shepard is a little too big to have crawling on your lap. so she sticks to the feet.

How does your boston terrier/fr. bulldog stand up to your other dog? They look very sturdy...which is what I'd need in a companion for the one I have now. How is he temperment wise? etc...

he is very playful but not mean. he can be a little rough but you got a pit so i dont think you have anything to worry about there. as a puppy all he wanted to do was play but after growing up a little and getting nuetered he has calmed down a little. he still loves to run around, play fetch, and rough house the only difference now is that when everyone is sitting around calm he does too instead of jumping on you begging for attention.

i dunno if all mixes like him are tough or if its just him but he is extremely tough. he once got a metal pole stuck thru his lower eyelid when he was in his cage at night. those were some of the most bone chilling squeels from a dog ive ever heard. his face was litterally stuck to his cage and he was using all his strength (which is supprisingly alot for his size) to try to get free but in the process he was just ripping his lower eyelid. well once we got him out he was bleeding a little and we put him down to lay down but he just got up and started rough housing with my other dog. (we took him to the vet and thankfully no damage)

and he is a VERY dense dog. he is about 3 or 4 inches longer than the length of my elbow to the tips of my fingers and he weighs more than my brown dog. (keep in mind shes half german and beagle. beagles can get pretty fat and germans are pretty big too) my black one weighs probably 35-45 pounds. all muscle too. not an ounce of fat on him. and he has a bigger neck than me. his is about 17 inches around.

both of his breeds are also notorious for being hard to potty train. and the french bulldog in him gives him EXTREMELY bad gas. those types of dogs swallow their food whole and then chase it with ALOT of water. which in turn gives them gas. ive kept track a few times and he has drank water non stop for over 4 minutes.

got anymore questions? i love dogs.

edit: oh and he is a good gaurd dog too. not very good protection wise due to his size but he will let you know if anything is going on.

Wow cute dogs everyone.. My boy is at home, cant wait to see him. I have a pit/shep/lab mix... He is awesome.. He was a stray on the street and my friend found him and of course she brought him to my house and hes been there ever since... the vet said he was about 3 months at the time.. He turned 2 the other day and he had cheeseburgers, opened presents, had a little party, and had ice cream cake with his name on it.. I love that dog so much. My girl always says to me, i hope you love me one day as much as you love Karma... He is the coolest, most laid-back dog for being so tough looking hes a big baby.... walks with me with no leash, never leaves yard (I have no fence) never any accidents or desructive behavior... just pure love.. He is just amazing... sorry, I can get like those annoying parents with pics of their kids.... anyway, have a good one fellow dog-lovers
