Yea both float I thought the other way around I thought which is float is not good :) thanks for the info bro :)
Yes you are correct. Floaters (that never sink) float because their innards are rotted out. I just talked with an RUI guru who confirmed that fresh seeds sink right away. So guys, please don't toss your sinkers.

Guys today the soaked seeds I gave them a push and they drowned do I put them now in paper towel ?
Yes if you insist on using that method...now is the time. Better to just go into soil. And never leave a seed underwater too long. If it germs underwater with no air...they can die.

I agree. Paper towel method can be tricky. I’ve never had issue and had roots pop in 48 hours.

You can just put in soil. That is the true natural way. Less opportunity for things to go wrong.

Get a solo cup. Pop holes in the bottom. Fill with soil. Water soil till there is a bit of run off coming from the bottom. Plant seed 1-2 inches deep. Leave it. I left mine under a 2700k LED screw in bulb. You’ll have a sprout. And don’t water till the cup gets super light. That’ll take maybe 2 weeks for it to require a new watering. Keep your temps at about 24-26C as well.

Yes folks only follow JohnDee the god whom knows absolutely everything.
I mean... Just a few days ago you had a guy destroy 3 out of his 4 females because you told him they were hermie... My jaw about dropped as I was reading that thread. Maybe don't give people, especially newbies, advice if you have no idea what you're talking about. Bucky boy :)

I'm a big fan of planting directly into soil. Works great and the roots get growing good right away as soon as the seed sprouts.

Cannabis is just a plant. It's seeds are no different and don't require anything any other plant seeds need to germinate. I have plants growing in my garden beds from trim from a seed run. Must have been a few seeds I missed. These plants have never seen a paper towel. They just popped as nature intended. And it's been in the low 40's f at night. There is nothing special about germinating cannabis seeds. I treat them just as I do vegetable and flower seeds. I've never seen as much tinkering, fairy dust, and making things complicated as I have with cannabis growers.

Actually I don't grow outdoors. Those just came up on their own from trim I tossed in the garden beds. I had made some seeds and a few must have been in the trim I tossed. Unfortunately they can't stay where they are because I have tomatoes to plant there. I'm going to have to put them in pots and probably give them to a friend. But if I was growing outside I would grow them right out of the ground after amending the soil.

i do 1 of 3 methods all have germinated 100% for me at around the same rates.

Method 1- put the seeds in a paper towel that is moist and not wrung out fully. fold the paper towel so the seeds are covered, place in a ziploc bag fully sealed toss in my bedroom closet in the dark. 1-2 days later they pop.
Method 2- same as method one but i leave the ziploc bag fully open or slightly open like 25% open. with this method you need to watch out the paper towel dries up quicker. pops in 1-2 days
Method 3- plant in soil in solo cups. tried this method out for the first time and it's hard to tell when they germinate but i got mine to sprout in 7 days i think it was probably slightly sooner around 5-6 days but i'd have to check my log.

no issues thus far i've never tried the cup method though. eventually i will try it. only time my seeds seen any sort of light was the 3rd method as once they go into solo cups they are put under light

Great methods but I'd like to include that putting the Ziploc on top of a cable box or something that stays kinda warm can speed up germ rate :bigjoint:

just dont visit Oahu XD that is the island i live on it's a damn tourist trap though imo if you were to ever visit Hawaii and want to enjoy the beauty go visit Maui or the Big Island not as crowded as Oahu and imo is much more beautiful scenery wise as well. Oahu reminds me of just a poor version of a city.

yea i say that as well about the heat thing because some new people need to understand heat mats are not always required it highly varies on your temps/where you live. my friend lives in colorado he couldn't even germinate seeds because he wasn't running any heat on um when it's cold there and his dumb ass ended up buying clones from the dispensary at like $25 a piece and the clones were not even properly labeled with the genetics either they gave their clones some generic ass name

That's good to know tbh, Oahu was the first place to come to mind because of Hawaii Five-O lol, I used to love that show and the scenery in Oahu always looked amazing, they might've just strategically chose places to film maybe.

And damn, what kind of dispensary does that? Expensive ass clones that aren't even labeled correctly, I would've left after seeing that

they do choose specific locations. this kid i know from highschool works as a stand in for Hawaii 5-0. not a stand in but like one of those background people that really has no lines they just stand there looking pretty. they actually filmed right by my work a few weeks ago the area is semi nice but touristy too it's by my old college by diamond head crater. i mean Oahu is nice but if you already live in a nice city like say idk New york of san fran or LA something like that it isn't worth coming to Oahu. the North Shore on Oahu is probably the biggest hype but everything else is kinda meh. i went to Maui for the first time last year was actually nice and mellow. i enjoyed it tbh not so much traffic. if you come then come around winter time imo thats when the waves are huge here very nice to see sometimes they are so massive as well i think just a few years ago the waves were 30feet high got a video on youtube it was fucking crazy.

idk what dispensary he goes to but i told him to buy seeds not clones he didn't want to listen. $25 for a clone is fucking crazy at least you can buy seeds for like $3-5 each and then clone it yourself for free.

Didn't see this til today but wow, I really am jealous. I've never seen a movie or show being filmed and I'd have had a heart attach if I saw Hawaii five o being filmed haha. But yeah any scenery besides my hometown would be nice. I'm going to South Carolina towards the end of the year, condo on the beach so it should be pretty nice, hopefully nothing goes shitty and ruins it.

Happen to have the link to that video? I'd like to see some massive waves lol
