No you don't. Flushing is to get rid of the salts... I dont use synthetic ferts. You can't flush soil that has slow release dry amendments mixed in. It's about impossible.

Anyways all that aside.... many including myself believe flushing is a myth. There are many many threads on it. Just use the search tool in the upper right corner and you can read some.
