I grow organic i have problem with gnats i have used Dont bug me ,Azamax, sticky traps i just want them gone please help.
You are destined for bugs, natural predators in flower are your best bet. Control the bugs as much as you can in veg with insecticides(foliar app/soil drench/ and switch it up, but dont expect to be completely bug free for more than a couple months.
Mantis eat more than ladybugs but i personally like ladybugs, they eat a wide variety and if you can keep em alive they will reproduce for generations :]
Don't give up and stay persistent, fungus gnats actually eat up the fungus and dead plant matter in your soil that could be harmful to your plant so i don't mind seeing one or 2 flying around
if you see more than a few flying though you have to do something...
Hope this helps

Their larvae eat young roots. They are detrimental to small clones, or seedlings. Kill them all.

Wow I thought they were harmless. I'm glad I read this. I hear people saying they come in bags of soil stored outside.. Well the place I bought my FoxFarms from keeps them indoors and it still has a gnat population...

Where do you get this mosquito dunks at?

Everywhere. Any Home Depot, Lowe's or other hardware store will have Mosquito Dunks, and possibly Bits. Other Bti products are sold at garden centers and grow shops as well.

It doesn't matter if the local stores keep it inside if the stuff is improperly stored prior to shipment...

I never had a large out break but when I read how wet surface soil was necessary, I started bottom watering, I use deep trays and I have no more problems. When I added compost tea I top water but other than that it all goes in the tray. Obviously if you have a major out break you may need to treat but I would recommend bottom watering.
