Whoops this is the flower rez. I just dumped the left overs into the rez. a couple tablespoons maybe. (Safe to flower because it is organisms that being added not chemicals... At least that is what I am telling myself. OMNI Approved though so whatever that means, if their rating system is anything like USDA then we should be wary of everything that goes through that process.)

Yeah it definitely looks weird. I'm gunna give a 7 day chance. That way I know for sure. If it still doesn't kick it, then I will get GoGnats. I already put it in my shopping cart!

I'm having trouble finding the divine intervention. Can you post a link? Also the pyrethine seems to be helping. Will be doing another spray tomorrow. "Every 4 days for 2 weeks"

Heh! It was a joke, as in you'll need an act of god to kill those fuckers. I've never had broad mites (knock on wood) but I know a couple good growers that have battled them and they make regular 2 spotted mites look like a walk in the park in comparison. They both resorted to Avid to get rid of them. If you go this route, only spray that shit on vegging plants, wear a respirator, and leave the house for a while (bring pets and family members). It's pretty toxic, and should be a last resort.

I have dealt with spider mites before and yeah they are easy in comparison. The hardest things with these assholes is identifying them... They are invisible to the naked eye and for someone who doesn't know what they are (me) they can be mistaken for nute deficiency or something else... In my case I have been battling fungus gnats and root aphids so I thought the symptoms just came from them.
Luckily I started this thread and someone pointed out that it looked like I had broad mites... I have never even heard of them before. Did a quick Google image search on symptoms and sure enough the had similar looking leaves (canoeing, curling, weird new growth, followed by death of the shoot, etc.)
If you have this:
You probably have broad mites. Take a look at the previous posts and you can see that some of the clones still have these symptoms. However they are getting better and the new growth looks healthy.
The key is to spray them every four days. That way they lay eggs or whatever they do, you kill the adults, eggs hatch you kill them, then more hatch and kill them. And hope that you beat they cycle.
After my harvest I will be setting off a Dr. Doom bug bomb wait 10 days and set off another bug bomb with different ingredients. I don't want these fuckers getting immune to Pyrethine.

Trust me bro I tried everything. GoGnats works on all kind of creepy crawlers and flyin insects.
I live in the swamps I gotta fight em all the time.If i don't use something within a week my gro is covered w them.I gotta put it in every rez change or my roots get full of larva.
Kill the larva don't worry about the 1s flyin around they don't live long. If they bother you put red wine vinegar in cups they will go to it.

What are you running for nutes.. Cannazym, breaks down the old roots. Try using somthing like that. They shouldn't be that much of a problem unless you have hordes of them. Maybe try a little azamax neem oil. You mix it with your regular nutes and water.. Kills the the eggs.

I am using Gh series, Gro, Micro, Flower + Super Thrive and Zone.
It wasn't the gnats alone that I was dealing with, which caused all of the problems. It was a combination of shit. Cannazym sounds good, what happens to the live roots?

The BEST thing to use is FORBID 4F! Everything else is not very effective on these pests!

Well it sounds cool. I am aware that the picture was of a different plant probably a bell pepper or something. I have gotten spider mites outside on my bell peppers before, never these broad mites or whatever it is.

Low Pressure Aeroponics. Gnats are down to a minimum now but the they still are getting brown roots. They go white then brown and die.
