Yeah and bud in the 70's is considered schwag now lol
I've got two hps ushios right now and a third in my hand. Once the kids go to bed I'm going to kill the power, install the 220 and bam! Three 600's baby!

Yeah kind of overkill for a 3.5 x 7 space but what the hell. I got a digi ballast for $30 so I figured why not use it. I smashes out one wall of the grow room this weekend and moved it 5 feet out. I finally got more room to breath.

Same nutes. Will switch this weekend to full bloom and a bunch of additives. I'll post pics for sure as the screen is filling quickly and I have been training like a mad man. The tops are growing 3" plus a night.

A couple pictures after last nights "beat down session" with the plants. I tell ya, bending over for an hour to train all those growing shoots can be hell on your back.

I also added another 600 watt hood.

the last pic is from last week.

:) I called it "hail storming" because they looked like they'd been through one, "beat down" is an apt description as well. Looking good bud!

Thanks, I think I am going to "let them go" either today or tomorrow. this is the end of the first week of flower and I have about 16" of space for them to grow above the screen..

They should pretty much stop vertical growth after the second week no?

Most of it depending on strain. I think it's completely done by week 3 for me, but 80% of that is weeks 1 and 2.

Thanks guy. I am begining to see the trouble of different strains in a scrog. Anyways, to full on flower mode Rez.
In a 25 gallon Rez I put the following:
500 ml bloom
250 ml liquid karma
125 ml cal/mag
50 ml AV sensizym. Figured I could use some enymes to compliment the biotics.
4 tablspoons molassis to sweeten things and feed the enzymes/myco

I also did a little cleaning and clearing under the screen. Nothing major but did snip some leaves and growing shoots that I knew would never make it to the screen. Figured more energy for the other parts if the plant.

Going to keep training for a couple more days but at this point there are only 20 or so holes
left to fill!!! And those are 2" wide holes on a 3.5' x 7' screen!!

Fill those holes in!!! lol... I want to see a fat bud in every one of them,,, I hope I can do the same,,, I have been reading a lot on scrog,,, I just tried fim and topping on a few small (8") unknown test rat plants I have... did you fim or top any? I suppose you could fim or top during veg and run those branches back under the screen, or just fim or top and let 2-4 buds grow out of each 2"x2" hole,,, may make for really small buds though? I would love to see a journal that gives more precise directions on getting a bud out of every hole , but have yet to find one that gives super direct specifics, just pics (awesome pics).... or hell, I guess just get my damn grow on and watch how a plant grows and figure it out...internode spacing&correct scrogging technique seems important for this....

Your not going to like this answer but It depends on the strain. I topped and fim'd I like the fim but my trainwrecks went crazy and started growing from every shoot. Every single one. It really doesn't matter as once the hut the screen you are effectively LSTing them. I suppose I could take pictures but it would be a pain in the ass kind of.

They grow above the screen about 3-4" then you pull them down and move them to another hole. On a couple I pushed the top back down through the screen an then up another hole bubyou risking breaking stems doing that. If you let them get 7-8" above your kind of fucked cause the stem gets to thick to bend.

It's an involved effort for sure but I think it's pretty fun. Give you something to do besides check ph and stare at the plants :)

I want to see some bud porn. I cant wait till I have bud porn of my own I am flipping the lights tonight.
nice! What nute line are you running? With the botanicare line I did a week of transition nutrients which was half grow and half bloom. Seemed to work out quite well as they need a good source of nitrogen for the stretch.

Are you using all Botanicare products? I use their Cal-Mag and like it fairly well (except the bottles don't pour for crap), most of the rest is Technaflora with a little General Hydroponics thrown in because I'm cheap. The results are obvious in your journal but I was curious as to your thoughts. What else have you tried/discarded, etc?

Yeah I am sticking pretty much straight to the BC pure blend pro line. I haven't tried many other products, used to make my own nutrients for outdoor grows. The local hydro guy is great and most of all he is honest. He said straight up, "I have tried them ALL over the last 10 years and kept coming back to BC so that is all I ever use now". Plus they are organic so its pretty damn hard to burn your plants with them.

I'm using the base nutes (grow and bloom) with cal/mag and liquid karma. The LK is the bomb. I heard that there are better versions of "sweet" so I have just been using mollasses for now as I am not completely sold on the benefits of sugars. Other things I have ben using include mcyoryzial inoculates every other rez change and started adding sensi-zyme last week.

I really like the idea of using some kind of enzymes. I need to research on the pluses and minuses of high P ratios -vs- high K ratios. BC bloom is high in K but many other bloom builders are high in P. BC makes a product for this (hydroplex) but I don't know anything about it.

WoW! Awesome dude. Had simular problems with hydrotten. I fllushed the crap out of them, 36 hour soak in 5.5 PH, put them in tray and ran the pump to test my table. Within 5 minutes res full of sediment. 3 words Sunleaves Lava Rock. Very little residue, they dont all float up up like hydrot and they actually secure the root system. That said, I'm pumped up to see this finish. I'd like to reitterate on the ones who came before us and set the ground work. I cant thank you enough and have learned so much from your trials, failures, and success. I'd also like to add you people are some of the coolest people I'll never realy know.
I think you should post current pics here

I think its kind of ceremonial. lol If any scrogg belongs there, surely this one. I love what you did with place. The only thing cooler than a bar or sports room is a grow room.
I think it will bring the noise>Say what? That's right, I said it. Bring the Noise!

as promised here are some pics. Umm, things are a little different. Added a third light :) and moved the wall back another 4 feet to give me some space.

BUDS!!

With the added space I built a veg tent. To moderate temps in the tent and keep fresh air in there I ducted the exhaust from my carbon scrubber into the top of the tent. The air comes out of a light blocker box I made out of scrap and panda. Yes! real asian panda!

Vegging out. 12 station net pot aeroponic (HD brand) clone bucket and some rooted dirt clones for my friend who likes to play in the dirt.

And last but not least. Went to town trimming. Pic of the cutting room floor. and some pics of FIM branching. Look at that stem on that one fucker. That is a standard utility blade for reference.

i'll get some rep yet out of this grow :)

That's just rockin' it! Knew I was gonna be jealous of your setup from the first post.... nice work man!

Do you save your trimmings? I put mine in vodka, drain, strain, repeat, not really potent enough for cannabutter at this stage but I only throw away the roots, everything else gets consumed in one way or another.

Still researching the BC nutes, interesting....

You are filling that screen to the brim, man. Nice work. Sorry if this was already asked, do you have a goal you're shooting for weight-wise?
