There are certain regional issues that should be left up to the candidates. Gun rights issues may be important for a dem running in Texas, but not so much for someone running in California.

I do agree with the guy in the video about certain things though. The dems should have a nation wide platform of Medicare for all, raising the minimum wage, environmental protection, overturning CU, equal pay, etc. I don't view those as regional issues, so I don't see why they can't make them the foundation of their platform? Especially considering that they are all popular ideas.
Kyle is pretty good isn't he? He plays an emotional tune that is hard to avoid getting caught up in. Pitch perfect propaganda. He even made it seem to you that Democrats don't support the issues you raise.

We are in so much agreement on what the Democratic Party should stand for. I think you are right. The national issues you raise are important. These issues are discussed in the Democratic Party Platform. Kulinski acted as though they weren't. But then again, he's in opposition Democrats as much as any Republican can be and he quite conveniently ignored this.

Minimum Wage: ...We should raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour over time and index it,
Securing Universal Health Care
Democrats believe that health care is a right, not a privilege, and our health care system should put people before profits....Democrats will never falter in our generations-long fight to guarantee health care as a fundamental right for every American. As part of that guarantee, Americans should be able to access public coverage through a public option, and those over 55 should be able to opt in to Medicare.
Combat Climate Change, Build a Clean Energy Economy, and Secure Environmental Justice
Climate change is an urgent threat and a defining challenge of our time....Without ambitious, immediate action across our economy to cut carbon pollution and other greenhouse gases, all of these impacts will be far worse in the future. We cannot leave our children a planet that has been profoundly damaged.
Repeal CU: We must rectify the Supreme Court decision gutting the Voting Rights Act, which is a profound injustice.
Closing the Racial Wealth Gap
Disparities in wealth cannot be solved by the free market alone, but instead, the federal government must play a role in eliminating systemic barriers to wealth accumulation for different racial groups and improving opportunities for people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds to build wealth.

Democrats have supported Universal Healthcare for generations. The issue has been brought to a vote several times and gone down in flames due to Republican opposition. Bill Clinton era Democrats lost control of Congress over this issue. If you or anybody is angry about the lack of universal access to healthcare, why lambaste the Democratic Party?

I see the demand for "right now" as a sham trick played to lock in more seats in conservative districts. There was even a play in the Senate recently where a sham universal healthcare bill was voted down by Republicans. Interesting how the two -- GOP congress and alt left con artists are playing the same tune.
