So from what I heard this strain is known for Fox tailing but this one plant has it really bad compared to the rest, the white hairs ain't even turning red and it's been like 11 weeks or flower. What should I do with this thing. It looks ugly..

Can someone please explain to me exactly what's wrong with foxtails? It's BUD! I've recently heard from a breeder who deliberately selects for it because it creates more surface area for resin secretion.

I've smoked a lot of foxtail weed and it always got me high. Isn't that the point?

My only issue with it is trimming close to the bud can be a pain with some fox tail buds. Not all of them but I've had a couple that made trim jail a bitch. No problem smoking them though.

Bowl trimmer dont care just cuts them in with your trim. Since it IS part of the bud it should help improve the quality of your trim run extracts

It all grinds and smokes ….. the same.

Knuckle buds are actually pretty genetic expressions just like your plant hues.

Run that bitch til she finishes up proper - regardless of the week you think it’s on.
Plant doesn’t care about calendars , it will finish when it finishes.

It can happen from genetics , heat issues , fertilization , environmental, etc.

It looks like it has time to go , bulking and continued pistil maturity.

Do not rely on breeder estimations about that strain , your grow environment and yours alone will dictate when it will be done.

Bag appeal. Nothing more too it imo

Edit: In a post Rec city, the general population of smokers don't know what they want, but they're happy to be told what is and isn't good buy the people who are paid too sell it.

This is genetic thing. Some people are looking just for this and may consider you lucky. Stress induced foxtailing is a different story.

This is the damn truth, right up there with purple colors.
The purple thing made sense in high-school, hell, I got a qp of some straight up black weed once that, while not super potent, had a very unique high.

To see what Relentless genetics, who specializes in purple, charges for their plants blows my fucking minds. Kudos to them for working lines and making beautiful plants, but I'll take a foxtailing sativa that takes me to the basement and makes me check every dark corner any day.

If you’re not trimming it to sell it don’t sweat it. Like others have said it grinds up and it can load pipes up without grinding. Try easing up on the nutrients and reduce light intensity slightly. If it still does it then blame genetics. My buddy in town just announced one of his plants is foxtailing at 6 weeks and he’s not happy. So you’re not alone there.

One thing I found that worked for me to get a foxtailing plant to move along with the process was lowering light intensity some and changing from 12/12 to 11/13 and eventually after two weeks running that I went to 10/14.. I had read about people doing this but never bothered until this last run and it helped for sure in my tent

heat issues can cause a bit of foxtailing, could that be it
this is what I'm assuming caused mine, heat stress combined with genetics. Some are worse than others..... tbh I'll just trim it all up and grind it for jays either way. Doesn't need to be pretty. I can only do so much with nature providing heat extremes, but fox tailed is better than no bud?

My opinion, the problem with foxtails, sometimes, is that your buds could be otherwise ripe then BAM!!, new spurts of growth making you think you have weeks more to go.

You have to figure out if they're stress-induced foxing, or genetic-induced; if they're stress-induced, then you could probably pull the plants now. If they're genetic, then the buds are still naturally stacking and the buds may still be ripening.

Also, FUCK TRIMMING FOXTAILED BUDS, IN THE GOAT ASS :wall: :cuss::wall::cuss: i hate trimming those bitches

Oyeah. .. and foxtailed buds tend to dry out faster than standard buds.
