Found a seed

I was able to get two clones from my previous plant that was bought from a clone store... skipping forward I also had a seed that I planted from a friends grow, that plant showed signed off pre flower so I went ahead and popped her in the tent with my two good clones that I KNOW are female and do not seed.
Well.... the plant from seed hermied on me and so I removed her from the tent. I wiped it down and what not but I had a feeling because I seen some pollen dust that my plants that have flowered already were fucked.

sure enough this morning I found a seed, it was at the top of the cola and I have yet to spot anymore. It was still white but slightly hard and I picked it out :/. I’m so sad but what are my chances that maybe the plant is still good?

because she’s still growing white hairs and getting plump, it’s hard because google does not do justice in explaining what it means if just one seed is found and signs of flower growth is still visible.

I am no doubt going to let them finish their time as it is about week 5 or 6 now... so I am more just trying to gather some information as I love learning on the topic.

last question, can I save any seeds from my good clones that were pollinated by my hermied plant and have possible good results?

I wouldn't save hermie seeds. What it sounds like is that the seed you planted was created accidentally by a hermie, either because of stress or because of genetics, and carried the trait on to the next generation. Seeds generated by that 2nd generation hermie plant are going to almost certainly be hermies.

The two clones were not hermies, they were pollinated by the hermied plant, is that still a no go?

the hermie plant is gone and fully cut down before seeds formed.

This is why everyone who knows says to put bag seed in the trash where they belong. How many seeds you get depends on how much pollen got on them. Either way whats done is done might as well finish them out. Weed with seeds is still weed.

What do you mean no go? Are you asking if the seeds from these plants will be usable? NO THEY WILL NOT. But you can still smoke the buds, just have to pick out whatever seeds they make.

The pollen is from a second-generation hermaphrodite. The seeds are trash. Please do not shit in the gene pool.
