Maybe, but it seems to be in there pretty good. Took a couple months to get down to normal runoff ppm. I have the same problem, hard to find pure perlite but the "enriched" Miracle Grow stuff is widely available. I never tried soaking it though. Figured I might as well use the extra nutes. It comes out at about 2000 ppm though, which is on the high side.I'm switching to coco and may have to settle for Miracle Grow perlite which has a chemical nutrient charge. Think I can remove nutrients by flushing and letting dry before mixing?
Good info thanks, yeah it's probably not easy to flush it from perlite. Not a big deal but I'd rather have pure. I just found a big bag no ferts, way too much but hey I'll be set. thanks..Maybe, but it seems to be in there pretty good. Took a couple months to get down to normal runoff ppm. Also used for flooring insulation for condos when installing ceramic tile.Look at local masonry suppliers. Perlite is used as loose fill for wall insulation.
i'd go with pink panther. it's cheaper, and has a guarantee. perlite doesn't.Also used for flooring insulation for condos when installing ceramic tile.
