I'm switching to coco and may have to settle for Miracle Grow perlite which has a chemical nutrient charge. Think I can remove nutrients by flushing and letting dry before mixing?

Maybe, but it seems to be in there pretty good. Took a couple months to get down to normal runoff ppm. I have the same problem, hard to find pure perlite but the "enriched" Miracle Grow stuff is widely available. I never tried soaking it though. Figured I might as well use the extra nutes. It comes out at about 2000 ppm though, which is on the high side.

Good info thanks, yeah it's probably not easy to flush it from perlite. Not a big deal but I'd rather have pure. I just found a big bag no ferts, way too much but hey I'll be set. thanks..

Needed local pick up for this Friday project but thanks
I thought I saw another brand of Perlite in Lowes once. Shultz? Better brand than Miracle Grow. Check your local gardening stores. Those old ladies there probably know more that some 20 year old stone millennial at the grow store.

never use chemical laced perlite.
