fluroscent ( t5 ) lighting.. how do they compare with CFL'S or LED?

Just wondering how to these lights compare with the rest
can you flower and still acheieve a good yield with them?

who grows with them?

They are better than cfl, but some LED do better. pl-l flouros are more efficient than the t-5 for their size. The 55 watt ones being the best watts to lumens. If you have a good set up you can get .5 gram per watt with flouros. A few have done around 1 gram per watt, but they are real experts with years of experience.

I use LED overhead and use 55 watt pl-l in the corners vertically. So you can mix and match too. Flouros lose their light intensity very quick, so if you can get the flowering plant within an inch or 2 of the light, that helps a lot. The 55 watt pl-l has around 10 inches of good light, this is for flowering. A reflector helps a lot.

LEDS are a rip...theres no real pics of the awesome grows done with them..

ya,...some spend 3x what reg lights cost...

but you never see 100+ plant grows done with them...

you can grow weed with a candle and picture of sun....
but not the proven way...

when the cost comes down maybe they will become a bit more mainstream.
 
you are right leds dont make big buds they do great in veg room you have too have a 600 or 1000 hps to get big buds in the flower room t5s will not flower good for veg t5 pulls the same volts as a 400watt mhl at 220vols i use leds in my veg room i have 4 300watt leds one 2x4 light i put togehter reds and blues and ir to get a led to put out 80000 lumens it takes 1200leds for me to make this it would at my cost of the leds at my cost is $7000.00 the light is so bright if you look at it it will burn your eyes out i use and sell leds kentrugrolights
