man i was never trying to put you down...seedlessone is st00pid n funni cause stupid is funny. Stupidity isn't a problem in itself, but when you close your mind with an ego to shut your heart, then you are another piece of sick society.... n dat da truf
how many plants are in that second pic with the HPS? Ohh and how high is the 400 w hps from the plants, in order to light the entire 2 X 3.5 area?Ok here is some more pics for you. These pics are from a grower that has hella experience. The fisrt pic is a cab that has 350w of cfl. it produces anywhere from 4oz to a qp. the second pic is the same guy but in a 2ftX3.5ft using a 400hps. He yeilded 12oz last time and he said this grow was even better...expecting 14oz in the pic shown...
Hey dude, I think that two 400's in that spot would ROCK! Now to get technical for ya, one 400 is fine for roughly a 3x3 space, you have plenty of light and your plants would reward you with big beautiful buds! Dont forget to have some form off exhhaust going too. My grow room is about 4x6 and I have one 430 watt hps, and cant wait to get another one!Do you think that two 400 w hps is over kill for a 3 x 4.5 area?
Thanks dude. I am working on the exhaust thing. I currently have the door adjar about 3 inches to 6 inches (depending on the out door temp) with a fan blowing fresh air into the room, keeping the temp between 82 - 86. With ghetto co2 (soon to change). I will be setting up a good ventilation system pretty soon though. I want to buy one of those good exhaust fans.Hey dude, I think that two 400's in that spot would ROCK! I agree, i did the same thing for my veg area, but I find that those bathroom duct fans from HD don't work that well. Its sufficient for the veg area, but for the heavy heat build up in the flower room, I might need a more efficient fan. It seems the the HD duct fans aren't compeletly 'closed' systems. If you put your hand on both sides of the fan you will feel air blowing on both ends. But the fans that you get at hydro shops etc, seemd to be better made because you can feel air being sucked in one end and blown in the other. It seems that there are more layers of fan blades and they are closer to the edge of the fan. DOn't know if I explained it that well, but in a nut shell they are much more efficient and hence, more expensive ~ $120 - $150That sounds great, what I did for a fan was go to home depot and buy a $12.00 bathroom fan, I cut a 3' hole in the ceiling and installed it and placed it on my timer with my lights, but theres lots of other solutions too.
Peace
4 oz is a qp..........great pics.Ok here is some more pics for you. These pics are from a grower that has hella experience. sorry typo the yeild ranges from 3oz to a qp. thanks for the correction4 oz is a qp..........great pics.
Jeez Ngty, put in an efficient 4 inch inline fan, duct system and carbon scrubber and that will keep your temperatures nicely under control.I use 2 80 CFM computer fans in my flowering box. They are rated for 10K hours and are silent. Currently the temp runs up to 32c towards the end of the lights on cycle. I am about to add a 3rd though as summer is coming, or possibly even an AC unit. Otherwise I will have to hold off through the summer as the heat will be too much or just leave my mother in there with less light...
Can't beat an efficient vent system dude - it's the shit! Noise? Depends how deep ya pockets are, you can get some seriously cool (sorry no pun intended) acoustic fans from Airforce that are virtually silent, put on some acoustic ducting and a silencer and the noise goes down again, add in an Airforce speed controller and, well if the neighbours knew what you were up to, they'd be jealous! Gonna cost you though, that kind of gear isn't cheap.Think it will drive that much more air? Hmn.... How about noise?
Thanks for asking about the girls.. I am still a little pissed (that's American for upset, not drunk (FOR UK AND NON REBLIOUS COLONIES ONLY).
Two of them are doing much better (the first two with which I replaced all the soil). One still looks like it got caught in the blender and the 4th I am pretty sure is toast. Plenty of room in the box now though, so I am letting her do her thing. I have 5 clones from before all went south, so I am ready for a smarter round two.
I am going to do a thread in another week or so about how to screw up a great grow in 3 easy steps.
It's quite true that plants do pretty well on their own and we can be more of a hindrance than a benefit sometimes....so then I got so paranoid about overwatering I almost cooked my clones. I need to smoke more and fuck with the plants less. They will do far better without my help.
Honestly, I believe using MG had a lot to do with the lack of moisture control. I found a local source for Fox Farm. I will be getting some Ocean Forest (thanks seedlessone) this evening. That will be the new medium for the clones in a day or two (once I see roots on rest of them).
70% Ocean Forest to 30% Perlite or 50/50???
