Just wanted to get this started, will edit and add info later.I'm short a Cree 5000k so I have a 5000k CFL in it's place temp.Lights go on for the first time in 21 minutes. So thats 150 watts of Cree and 112 watts of CFL side lighting.

12-2700k 9.5 watt Cree's
4-5000k 9 watt Cree's
8-14 watt 2700k CFL's side lighting
730 nm Flower Initiator
Intermatic ET8215CR two circuit timer
31" x 31" x 78" cabinet

13.5/10.5 light schedule with 5 minutes of 730 nm at lights out.
LEDS 18" above plant
LSD 19" tall in a 7 gal fabric pot with 35% super soil.

Had some problems with my new timer and temps so first day with everything set right is 5/20.

Ya, buddy. IMO you should reposition the 4 clusters in the hood using splitters, so the globes hang down. I also use extenders + splitters

Details on the 730nm?

Do you have the option to hang your side lights? You could keep them closer until they need to be up against the wall, close(ish) is good with CFL's.

Well I got the timer figured out and I also had to mess with my ventilation because the temps were a little higher that I wanted. I've never used any LED's before so looking for some input. How close do you think I can have these to the plants? They're about 16" now but should I look for anything in particular that the plant shows I should move them up? I've seen pics of bleaching but is there any signs before the actual bleaching? Lights are starting in 1 1/2 hours so I'll be checking on how she's looking.

Stretch is a good place to start. I would get the bulbs closer but your setup seems to have a lot of light so look at the nodal space. And I would think 14 watt CFLs need to be pretty close to be effective. Maybe you should replace them with 5000K CREEs :)? Have you seen Slip's journal? He's doing LSD with LED too. Very tight nodes it appears so if yours aren't tight, maybe move those lights in. Or ditch those globes ;)!

Well I decided to pull the CFL's and just go with the LED's. Lowered them to 12" and the plant seems happy, leaves are pointing upward. Couldn't find Slips journal for some reason.
And there has been no Cree 5000k available within 50 miles of me for a month and they have been on back order online for the same.

On candlepowerforums some of those guys rip the bulb completely. And that's where I found out about the weak output from the top, which is also why I kept them horizontal, and will later on when they are added to my mother area. The thing is PetF they create 800 lumens, or that's what CREE says I didn't watch the vids, using only 10 to 11 watts and that ain't bad. And I bet they measured that with the diffuser on. I wonder what they get when it's off? Still that lumens/watts won't tell you how well it will grow weed, but it will tell you whether or not you can I bet. A big reason why HIDs work is their intensity and so maybe there is a lumens per watt rating that will tell you whether a LED light will support a full cycle of cannabis growth or not. That's why I'm interested to see how well, or even if, they can flower effectively. There is something to be said for intensity, and can we quantify it now with what we have to work with? I mean watts per square foot is a joke in LED but is serious business in HID, so maybe lumens per watts, which is efficacy I believe, is an important factor in the success of a grow. Then again I'm high as a kite, LOL.

Subscribed. I'm mostly interested in the 730nm lamp and how the 5m period affects flowering.

I'm very interested in these lamps, but at their price, I'm sort of hesitant to grab one.
