Sounds like you have some reading to do :)

Right now, if you're that far down south, you can get a head start on spring by starting to veg some plants indoors, then almost immediately put them outside. However, if they aren't auto-blooming plants, you're going to be waiting until at least September- November, depending on the strain, before you can chop. For most cannabis the bloom time and completion is controlled by light schedule, or the season the plant thinks it is.

If you're nervous already, before you've even started, then this may not be the best hobby for you... but it's worth a shot! :D I'd suggest that, if the speed of completion is a concern for you, that you grow some auto strains.. these begin blooming when they reach maturity, regardless of the light-cycle. Easy Ryder is a good one. That way, you'll likely be as far along the grow as possible, if you do get sketched out and decide to kill them off early :)

Thanks for the advise im currently germnating my seeds and hoping to plant in a few days, i have random seeds from random times when i buy so idk if it will work out all that well , its worth a shot anyways!

If I am correct you should not put them outside until jun 5th. That's when you will have 14 hours of daylight.
I started some at 13.5 last year and half of them started to flower early and three didn't re-veg.

Here is a link to a daylight calculator DAYLIGHT EXPLORER
Enter your longitude and slide the bar to see the amount of daylight you get any given day of the year.

Good luck man.

According to that calculator he should be getting about13 and a half hours right now, and should be fine to veg in a well lit location :) In a week or so, when the seedlings are strong enough and so long as they aren't placed in a shaded area, they should get sufficient (and increasing) sunlight enough, that they won't inadvertently flower.

Again, placement is key. If you can't place them in an open space privately and safely, then you're right, and waiting until spring is full blown is the best option. But if he can keep them in a full-sun location, he won't be alone among Floridians starting their crops this time of year :)

Well, like I said half started flowering at 13.5 hours. I am just stating a fact and trying to help.

So am I :) When done properly, seedlings will veg and continue to do so, with an increasing light schedule that starts around 13 hours. If you plant in the shade that early, then you would expect less than adequate and irregular results.

Wait i might of screwed up on my seeds big time but thats ok i got till june 5-10th to get the money/seeds,nutrients and research more :D
