The illegals are leeches. They come here for the welfare benefits. They drive wages down which in turn causes legals in that same field to now rely on government handouts themselves. If someones wages go down just two dollars an hour they loose $4000 a year in wages. 40 hrs a week x 52 weeks x $2 =~$4000. Good bye house payment, good bye house.

The work force from south of the border is inefficient compared to legals. They don't know the language or the way things are done in the states. Plus you have to hire bilinguals to supervise them which limits the supervisor pool to choose from.

The money they make is sent home and not spent in the States. Why should they spend it here? They are not trying to assimilate.

There is no evidence that illegals help the economy. It has been proven many times they harm it. They take away jobs from legals and drive down wages forcing the legals to become government dependent on welfare, just like the illegals who come here for our welfare. The majority of illegals who come are unskilled and uneducated. For the most part we are getting the bottom feeders.

Baby boomers are not retiring. They are working longer because the economy tanked and their savings have dwindled.

In the moral sense, some of "them" were here first. It's funny to see people of European descent telling Mexicans whose blood ancestors may have lived in the U.S. southwest that they are "illegal" and should "go home".

In the legal sense, you own whatever you can successfully defend. Therefore the argument could be settled through the "political process" with the underlying threat of the gun to enforce it. Just remember...A fence to keep "them" out, will also serve to keep "us" in.

In a fiscal sense it's stupid to offer benefits to people that haven't followed any rules of entry. But then government redistribution of other people's money never made much sense anyway.

The southwest is being repopulated by hispanics both legally and illegally, it's not going to stop unless the enforcers use alot more overt violence which means bad press for them so they are in a catch 22 and so far have done little to effectively stop the border crossings.

Eventually all imaginary lines that we call borders fade into history anyway...My suggestion- learn spanish or move to Vermont.

Or do what what all the G's do around my way and rob the mexicans every time they get a chance. They are well known to carry large amounts of cash around due to the fact that they do not have bank accounts and are usually on there way to the strip club or to buy some carona and hookers. I'm not saying I do that but it has become a very common practice these days.

So do allot of peeps. It's kinda like a robin hood thing. Stealing from the undeserving and spending with your own economy.

We already let in 1.1 million legal immigrants a year.That is more than any other country.
We do not need anyone who does not want to do it the right way.

So if I copy the body of an email into a thread that is completely relevant and on topic it is spam? I thought that spam was when you copy a solicitation, advertisement, or a URL with the intention of generating a sale or a search engine ranking. This is not what I have done here. And calling me out is on topic for this thread? I think there should be a special forum for name callers, left/ righters, teabaggers, and call outers so you all can have your own place to bicker.

The United States is founded on immagration. The only laws that should be enforced on our borders are weapons and obviously checking for those bad people.

Yes and that is what this about. Checking for bad people. If you are not doing anything wrong then you should not be offended by the police checking your id.

I understand that the government wants to know every single person that is on our soil, but its just not possible to keep tabs on everyone. Free borders aren't the answer, but getting a work visa should be easier.
