FISA Abuse by FBI

The prosecution got off to a rocky start, with Danchenko’s FBI handlers, the supposed star prosecution witnesses, admitting on direct examination that he’d actually been a pretty good source. And when confronted with prior depositions in which they’d described Danchenko as “truthful” and said he’d “assisted” in their investigation, they agreed that was about right. At which point Durham, who insisted on trying the case himself, lost his shit on redirect and impeached his own witness by bringing up the fact that he’d been recommended for a suspension. He also accused the FBI agents of botching the investigation, which was perhaps less than helpful in a case dependent not just on the literal falsity of Danchenko’s claims, but on the materiality of those false statements to the investigation.

Before the case even went to the jury, Judge Anthony Trenga dropped one of the false statements charges because it was literally true that Danchenko didn’t “talk” to a source he only communicated with via text and email. And then yesterday, after less than two full days deliberation, the jury acquitted on the other four charges.

This, posted for two reasons.

First, this is not forgotten. Republican propagandists have no respect for the people they shamelessly lie to but it's not forgotten by the people they insult. Propaganda loses it's ability to influence when the purveyor of such has lost credibility.

Second, lol @Bugeye or whatever your sock is called.
LOL, I thought we'd seen the last of Durham but, no. The windbag had to have his last say:

Special counsel John Durham concluded that the FBI should never have launched a full investigation into connections between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, according to a report compiled over three years by the Trump-administration appointee and released on Monday.

Durham’s 300-plus page report also states that the FBI used “raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence,” to launch the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump and Russia but used a different standard when weighing concerns about alleged election interference regarding Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

The special counsel, however, did not recommend any new charges against individuals or “wholesale changes” about how the FBI handles politically charged investigations, despite strongly criticizing the agency’s behavior.

Durham's wounded pride forced him to say it. No other reason for him to say it. He simply could not leave the office without one last sit-down and cry. Says investigations should not have been undertaken but doesn't believe any changes should be made. This is the guy who argued with his own witnesses in front of the judge. Just another example of a coddled Republican official who did a lot of damage to the country while claiming to be trying to save it.

lol @Bugeye or whatever your sock is called.

Is that you, bugs?

Turns out it's tough to prove that Russia did not help Trump's 2016 campaign when the truth is that they did.

Three things tipped Russia's play and Trump's cooperation. First was the change to the 2016 GOP platform to eliminate sanctions against Russia for invading Ukraine when GOP public opinion was contrary to that position. Second was Trump's hiring Manafort as his campaign manager. Manafort's prior employment was as campaign manager for a Russian backed politician in Ukraine. Moving on to a Russian backed politician in the USA was a natural progression for him. And, third, Junior had a meeting in Trump Tower in the summer of 2016 with Manafort, Kushner and Russian agents about releasing stolen Democratic emails.

Not a hoax. And Durham struck out trying to prove it was a hoax.

"WOW! After extensive research, Special Counsel John Durham concludes the FBI never should have launched the Trump-Russia Probe! In other words, the American Public was scammed, just as it is being scammed right now by those who don’t want to see GREATNESS for AMERICA!” Trump wrote on Truth Social shortly after the report was made public.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), a top Trump ally in the House and chairman of the Judiciary Committee, tweeted that he had reached out to the Justice Department to have Durham testify next week."

Maybe at the same time they should ask Muller to testify?

But but…..Russia…….and comrade…..and tin foil hats about Putin controlling Trump.

At least we can move on to talking heads in the media calling on the revocation of the first amendment to protect us all from bad orange man after the CNN town hall. They’ve been so right before and know what’s best for the masses. No critical thinking required.

Trump's final defense, whether made himself or by his followers, will be that he wasn't really a Russian asset. He was just an idiot. He didn't know better. Pure Heart, empty head.

Same defense that Jr. had for taking the meeting in Trump Tower with Russian agents. Too stupid to know it was illegal.

Removing sanctions were never mentioned, "Think of the children."

Time's up, old man. Lies require constant energy to defend and they eventually fail, regardless. "The truth will out", as Shakespeare said. It's all out there now. All the scheming by Trump, Putin, Manafort, Roger Stone, the Proud Boys, the NRA and so many more. It was not really a hidden conspiracy, so much as an open plot that liberals were too slow to respond to. But we see you now and it's looking bad for your kind. It's all well documented with facts based reporting. Facts don't require defense, they speak for themselves. So they are there for generations to see just how fucked up your political movement is. And you are losing. How does it feel to defend lies like that? Must be so embarrassing.

That bit about revocation of the 1A. Your strawman arguments are so tiresome. But I get it, revoking the 1A is what your kind would do, so naturally you accuse liberals of it. No, what we want are news outlets to report truth, not that lying shit show that CNN produced at the lie-a-thon Trump held at that so-called CNN town hall.

This all sounds familiar. Bugeye. I was wondering which troll was your sock puppet. So, you made up a new one after all, eh, @sweetisland2009 Not very smart of you. Having two accounts is against TOS. The truth will out.

Seems they all return to that bucket of vomit.

Facing Defamation, Sidney Powell Says 'No Reasonable Person' Thought Her Election Fraud Claims Were Fact

“Given the highly charged and political context of the statements, it is clear that Powell was describing the facts on which she based the lawsuits she filed in support of President Trump,” Powell's attorneys wrote.

And does she think modern day Republicans are Reasonable Persons?
