FISA Abuse by FBI

Reported today that the Durham investigation is being expanded. Oh my.

The prosecution got off to a rocky start, with Danchenko’s FBI handlers, the supposed star prosecution witnesses, admitting on direct examination that he’d actually been a pretty good source. And when confronted with prior depositions in which they’d described Danchenko as “truthful” and said he’d “assisted” in their investigation, they agreed that was about right. At which point Durham, who insisted on trying the case himself, lost his shit on redirect and impeached his own witness by bringing up the fact that he’d been recommended for a suspension. He also accused the FBI agents of botching the investigation, which was perhaps less than helpful in a case dependent not just on the literal falsity of Danchenko’s claims, but on the materiality of those false statements to the investigation.

Before the case even went to the jury, Judge Anthony Trenga dropped one of the false statements charges because it was literally true that Danchenko didn’t “talk” to a source he only communicated with via text and email. And then yesterday, after less than two full days deliberation, the jury acquitted on the other four charges.

This, posted for two reasons.

First, this is not forgotten. Republican propagandists have no respect for the people they shamelessly lie to but it's not forgotten by the people they insult. Propaganda loses it's ability to influence when the purveyor of such has lost credibility.

Second, lol @Bugeye or whatever your sock is called.

This is fucked up. Russia had its agent positioned at the highest levels of the FBI to undermine Hillary Clinton and help Donald Trump in 2016. Probably feeding information to Rudy Giuliani. And the Russian to whom that the FBI agent reported was the same guy to whom Donald Trump's campaign manager (Manafort) reported (Deripaska).

Gee, I guess Gym Jordan will need to look into this weaponization of government by Bill Barr and Bull Durham. Then there is the Cohen case of trying to muzzle and imprison him, he has a lawsuit for abuse of office before the courts. I guess the senate needs to look into this because Garland obviously can't and the house won't. While the senate judiciary committee is at it, there are credible allegations that Brent Kavanagh lied during his confirmation and was never vetted by the FBI as required.

The closer to elections this and political cases get, the better, trials of GOP congress people in late 2023 and 2024 would work out well for the elections of 2024. Several house republicans like Santo Claus could be indicted pretty soon and Gym Jordan along with several others who requested pardons are nervous. I hope Mark Meadows gets a sweet deal from Jack for sending a dozen or so of them to prison for conspiracy. Jack won't be offering much of a deal for Donald's ass, he already has that, so Mark will need to deliver more heads than Donald's for time off. If he's not filthy rich, this will ruin him financially, if it hasn't already, it will ruin most of them. It cost Scooter Libby $14 million in legal costs for ratting out a CIA agent to the public, his sentence was commuted by dubya and he was Pardoned by Trump eventually, but they had to fund raise for him.

This is really just getting going and will go on for years, one deal, rat and phone will lead to another, the DOJ has house cleaning to do and indicting former AGs is not a new thing in America. I sure hope Jack is headed to congress when he's done with Trump, his minions and his cronies and accumulates enough documents and rats. They had to be part of the coup conspiracy for it to work and voted to delay certification AFTER the attack on the capitol. They were in on the planning at the WH too and calls were even made during and after the rioting to coordinate action. All Donald did was watch TV and talk to these clowns on the phone while the insurrection was going on.

Trump and Barr lose as ‘deep state’ bomb goes off: Failed DOJ plot revealed in exposé

97,010 views Jan 27, 2023 #Trump #BillBarr #AriMelber
A New York Times bombshell investigation exposes new details and "ethical" breaches in the failed effort by Trump Attorney General Bill Barr to tarr the DOJ, and find a "deep state" bias against Donald Trump. Barr's handpicked prosecutor failed to find supporting evidence or win the few cases he filed, and the Times reports intelligence agencies contradicted Barr's theories -- and ultimately his “strained justification” for the probe fell apart. MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber analyzes the story on the day it broke, and, while carefully noting there were no alleged crimes, the account raises other questions of ethics and abuse of power by Barr.
