First timer need advice- outdoor

Hey all! About a week ago I was given two hybrid plants that were just a few weeks old out of nowhere. Although this is a rad gift and I'm excited to give growing a try I'm kind of winging it. The guy I got my plants from was growing indoors under lights and I have no kind of set up. I have them in my windowsill and put them out in the sun for about 10 hours a day now watering every 2/3 days depending on the plant. I plan on sticking them outside mostly permanently but the guy who gave them to me told me they wouldn't flower till fall.. all the research I've done says the strains I have should take 10 weeks to flower... I'll have snow here in October!
So my main question is; can I put them outside during the day and out them in a light sealed room or shed during the night so I can control when they flower? I'd prefer to start the flowering process early august so I can begin to harvest them early October before we start freezing.
Sorry for the long post!!
All information is much obliged.
Thanks friends.

It is possible to do it how you said. The thing is, its gonna be crazy hard to to keep them on a regular schedule. They should start budding just before the light changes. If you can somehow find out a manageable schedule it can work.

For sure, I realize the challenge! I am however a stay at home mom and could probably make it work. I would definitely need some kind of system in place. But my main concern would be just throwing them in the shed after light proofing it. Would I need a fan or any other equipment set up so I didn't shock the hell out of them?

Also, I'm in northern Nevada.
it can be 100 out during the day and drop below freezing during the night... another reason I'd bring them in at night.

Your going to need a fan just to keep the air flowing. Maybe even temperature control if the lights dont burn hot enough. What is your lighting situation?

Honestly you should be fine, yes the weather does very in different places but if during the end of the season it starts to get too cold then just bring them in a put them under a lamp thats 12/12 for an extra couple weeks. it might not take 10 weeks until there ready who really knows haha just give it a try and see what happens, good luck:mrgreen:
