when handbanana gets back on i bet he will post them for me.

i now have three confirmed females. #3 just showed tiny, thin, hair-like pistils today. since they are already 17, 20, and 22" tall, i am worried that vegging them until feb 10 will be too long! they are growing so fast that by the time veg is done they could be 30" tall! which means they could get 5 to 7 feet fall hypothetically by the end of flower! too big!

so, should i start flower them soon with a plethora of 2700k cfl's for now? should i think about supercropping or using LST on some of the secondary stems or what? wait till banana posts the pics and tell me what you think.

thanks for all the encouragement guys!

so what did you think about flowering now with CFL until Feb 10 and switching to the HPS at that time?

So HPS lights are actually suitable for flowering and vegetative growth?
HPS lights can be used for the vegetative stage, but they are not ideal, because they do not contain enough blue spectrum light. They will cause your plants to stretch, although that's not a big deal if you have plenty of space to work with. You need daylight CFLs, or a metal halide for optimal vegatative growth--both have an abundance of blue spectrum light.

Nice BigJesse:hump: I'm a noob, but I would say that your flowering plan sounds ideal!! I wish I could get my hands on some hps in the next few weeks but I am stuck with just the cfls for now...which btw have been fabulous!!

I think those babies are really SWEEEEEET:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: You will be rewarded greatly I'm sure. I didn't read your entire thread, but would you mind tellin' me what strain you have if they are not Bagseed cuz they look ALOT like my babies. I know that alot of the indicas look similar but I'd love to know what I have.

Make sure u try n keep them pics updated. I am very excited for you:weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed:

day 49 (i got the date right this time)

watered 1 and 2. used one drop of superthrive and 1 tablespoon of Grow Big per gallon of water.

i think #1 is flowering already. the tops are covered in pistils sticking straight up, as opposed to the light green dominate look they had a week ago. i am still giving them 20 hours of light! could they be autoflowering at 6 weeks vegging even if they are not an auto flowering strain?

well let me know. notice how much grow big i am giving them now and they love it! perk right up! oh yeah, no more h202 either.

I have only dosed them twice with h202, no noticeable problems yet...

So just stop using it and I will be fine?
I see you have already stopped it... good !!!

What happens is that the plants cannot use the organic nutes as you give them.. the bacteria HAVE to process it before the elements become available to the plants... H2O2 kills the bacteria.. and you starve your plant...

so what did you think about flowering now with CFL until Feb 10 and switching to the HPS at that time?
JUST DO IT...

You will be glad you added the HPS...

I LOVE that HPS stretch... I lollipop, so I much rather vegg with a HPS than with a MH... I also think that vegging with the HPS gives me a "cleaner" platform, with less leaf mass...

Sorry for the hijack.. but here it goes... there is a picture there somewhere that shows some of that stretch...

Nice looking plants Jesse... Keep it up...:weed:

So I figured this would be a good time for another comparison... lol...:weed:

The first picture was taken on 09/06/08...

The second picture is the same clone on 09/21/08...
Not bad for 15 days eh?!

All of the following pictures were taken just a few minutes ago... so almost 2 months have passed...:blsmoke:

I am sorry I do not have a shot of the plant with the roots hanging down... They are about 5 feet long and I could not figure out how to get the shot without my hand on it... until I put it back and then I am not going to fuck with it anymore...

So... these are the shots you get ... but it should illustrate very well the current stat of affairs....lol...

Oh, and I have already taken 6 cuttings from this, before the pics...

The roots are the ones on the right, closest to you...

A backside shot, showing what is, in my opinion, the perfect "HPS veg stretch" for cloning...

This next photo reminds me of the Incredible Hulk for some reason...

Braids of Life...:leaf:

And a final, close up shot...

Cheers...:joint::peace:
