First time with autoflowers and they seem to suck generally

I hope you wash after chop, that's gross.
whatever cat hair get on falls off when drying and curing unless I pull it off sooner. I’ve only found a few cat hairs in the actual finish product and even if it makes it into the grinder, I can easily find it and pull it out from there. Also for the other guy thinking i got bugs and mold its just dirt from when I ran out of water and my hose shot out misty air shorting soil up. Also those are sugars leaves with tiny Trichomes. I confirmed With my microscope cause y’all are goofy. I included a picture of what the finished product looks like after Curing.

Autos for me personally are a crapshoot. In one pack of FastBuds Lemon Pie, I had one plant that yielded nearly 5oz dried flower, really good smoke. Same pack, I had two others foxtail like crazy and were bland ass mids.

Another autoflower I grew, a freebie from Seedsman, was by far THEEE BEST overall effect I've had from smoking flower, to date. It was a Kush Auto, & every toke was like a bite of a breakfast sandwich; satiating and satisfying, full-body effect and teetered on couchlock and day-smoke. It was perfect. Even finished right at 2.5 months like the description said. Oh, AND I grew it 12/12 from seed. This plant led me to a theory that autos may, in fact, result in a better overall effect than high-THC polyhybrids that we're all used to. It's still just a theory. . ..

Yet another auto I grew, Pineapple AK, was just straight up fresh brickweed. Bland as all hell. This last one kinda gave me the "fuck autoflowers" vibe because I'm not about to waste another 3-5 months growing something that's just plain "ehh".

Yeah, it seems like autos can be a gamble. Also, it seems like everyone wants to blame user error, but the only thing I can think I did wrong was not putting the auto flower in the pot it was going to stay in forever. I think I left it in the small pot for too long before transplanting it However the other 3 plants I transplanted did fine and all my outdoors plants I’ve transplanted outside got over 6 feet tall. I think the small seedling got too stressed early on from the transplant and my cat ate one of the small leaves off, which probably really stressed it. I’ll try another one of the other seeds in the future and if it turns out the same then it’s probably just the genetics.however if the other seed turns out to be amazing, then I will maybe chalk up this one to user error.

So my first time with auto flowers wasn’t as grand as people say. I can say for certain I prefer Regular female plants over autos. Seems they flower a lil too early for me. My smallest one pre flowered as a seedling luckily it grew some size but prob will only get 1-2 oz if lucky. Only benefit I can think of is whenever it’s done sooner then the rest I can put new seedlings in the tent and have weed to smoke sooner

Have to agree with you there. Low yield, small plants outdoor. However, there may be techniques that make it better, such as LST. I'm guessing that some are better than others, that some people want to grow a certain genetic and that's why they buy them. But the old saying 'there are no shortcuts' seems to come into play.

It's ALWAYS user error if we fuck up a plant or grow, maybe not entirely but to some degree. I'll always own up to that, this stuff didn't just start growing itself in my closet, lol . But again, even if it's just a teeny bit there's always something, even just ONE tiny thing, that comes back to "oops i fucked up". In my case, probably light intensity & temps as the FastBuds were grown under 315w CMH, heat creeps up on ya easy with HID lighting. .. anyways, and i think we all agree that margin for error is generally smaller for autos to be successful
