First time indoor need some advice

Hey guys, its my first time seriously growing. i have done one outdoor plant before but that was it. I have just received 10 seeds containing various autoflowering strains, i decided to go with auto's just because it will be easier to maintain and shorter time frame and think it would be good to learn on. I have strains such as sweet dwarf, royal bluematic, chronic ryder, and purple ryder.
Ok so i have taken the dimensions of my closet. It is 2feet wide by 4.5feet long and 7 feet high. I have found a grow tent that i am content with getting. Im just trying to finish up finding out what else you guys recommend. I only plan on growing 2-4 plants to start with.
Im stuck right now at what light set up you guys think would be the best and easiest for me to start out with. CFL, hps,hid,LED.
I have everything else basically set up. Im not trying to go overboard but just trying not to take any shortcuts. i have a couple small computer fans im going to put inside. I have an inline fan to suck fresh air and an exhaust fan that will be sending the air through a carbon filter to reduce the odor.
My main dillema is what lighting and how much wattage should be enough. I was thinking about keeping it simple and just getting one nice 450 watt or 600 watt hps ficture to hang at the top and call it a day.
Looking for suggestions on what would be the best and easiest. Thanks guys i appreciate hearing what advice you all have for me. And please no critism.

If you are going to get any lighting that produces heat I would highly recommend an air cooled hood, otherwise you will have heat issues. I currently use a t5, a hps step for veg and mh for bloom.

I would HIGHLY suggest going with the 400 watt hps, with an air cooled hood. Either that or an LED of comparable strength.

Can somebody please send me a link on a decent LED fixture light set up for my closet grow. Based on the poll above I've seen most people favor LEDS. Looking for a somewhat reasonable priced set up. Again I am only going to be starting out with about 2-3 plants. In a 2 feet by 4 by 6 ft high. So I don't need anything too crazy.

From what I have read a seen quality and reasonable price don't seem to go hand in hand for led lights.

That's what you say now. Thousands of dollars worth of equipment later.....

If your in Canada, growlights.ca is awesome.

If your not interested in getting to technical then use CFL's or LED. You need to have things dialed in if you want to run a HPS lamp. The heat they generate is intense and without proper cooling your setting yourself up for problems controlling micro climate. With more heat your humidity levels also go up giving you another issue to contend with. So unless your williing to set up proper ventelation and cooling just stick with low heat lighting.

i use a 60w apollo cfl, 150w hps, 150w led, 300w led, 600w hps. my lights are all over the place. in the closet i have a 300w marshydro led and a 150w hps going. i have no ventalion in there except for a small desk fan and i have no heat problems or anything else. other tents have a 600w and/or a 300w led.

i started saying "i'm only doing this many" and like digital said....thousands later. i am completely happy with my led's. they were from ebay and relatively cheap. you'll hear people say they are shit, well thats their preference. i think they are great. with 1 300 i can pull over 3oz from a plant. last auto i did had a 150w led side lighting and the 300w up top. i pulled 5.5oz. so those who say led wont work or cheap ones are shit....i beg to differ.

I say t5ho. I run w 4ft 8 bulb 432 watt unit in the same size space.

hey white...that thing is bad ass. i've got a single t5 for seedlings but dont use it much. id use that in a heartbeat. what yeild do you pull with that?

Yeah, none of the above, OP, I think T5 HO are perfect for you, but they aren't an option on your poll.

I have a 4-foot "VivaGrow" 8-lamp fixture I bought on ebay for about $120 that came with 3000K and 6500K bulbs, that's a great place to start.

If you select the 3000k option you will get both sets, 6500k + 3000k, or at least that's how they shipped it to me. The 6500k lamps were pre-installed, 3000k came in a separate box.

This is so very true. If OP is like me he'll end up with one of everything. I have so much gear from this game.

In your space HPS might be a heat nightmare, which is why I am recommending the T5, @ OP.
