How soon should I be taking my seedlings and transplant them? Currently on day 8 after dropping beans into the soil. I was going to go about 1 week after seeing them pop and show true leaves in the bigger pot and then separate/transplant them into red solo cups.
Should I be running them in a green house to help with growth? I plan on building a 10 x 12 greenhouse over the next couple weeks after I clean up the back yard. When it rains and they are younglings are they in danger? Cold/too much water?
Should I have started them all indoors with germination methods? I kinda wanted a simple start without having to use germ methods I've used. I've always %100 success rate with rapid routers, heat mat, plastic container cells with humidity dome.
Growing a bunch in 1 pot then separation ok for seedlings? How long can seedlings be near each other till they get have root issues? I was hoping this method doesn't make the roots wrap up around each other and I loose seedlings when trying to separate them.
Current situation for my questions:
I have a BUNCH of seeds thrown into a 5 gallon fabric pot, 5 x 1 gallon fabrics and 7 cardboard starter pots.
Currently in California we are getting some rain and I'm pretty much not watering the last few days. I know that tap water pH runs at about 6.5 to 7 when I've ran my indoor grows. I've just been giving it tap till it started raining the last couple days. They are starting to kinda reach for the sky and I worry about them getting to long.
Got my usual grow journal going and will try to document as much as I can here: RiU Journal
