First Time Grow, using CFL's

Hey everyone, just wanted to post me and my ladies first time grow. we are about 5 weeks into vegging

List of equipment
secert jardin dr-80
8 x 42w cfl @ 2700 lumens each
1 ghetto diy co2 soda bottle system.

Nutrients
peters 20-20-20 plant food

Water
filtered water with a ph of 6.0

soil
were using different kinds, All organic

We are growing 2 bubble gum, 1 OG, and a Apollo 13 Clone. We recently noticed in the Apollo pot that a new but sprout just emerged.Not sure where the seed came from but oh well were moving it to its own container.

These pics were taken with my blackberry. I will post pics off a real camera later.

first set of pics is the first bubble gum

not sure how many days after germination (hoping its a female)

about 2 weeks later we moved it to a 3 gallon pot

This was taken last night around 2 am

OG Kush plant, we still don't know the sex, but were very lucky to obtain a seed from a very well smoked OG kush

Apollo we got as a clone to try out. it almost died but thanks to this site I was able to save it.

looks good thus far keep us updated with photos and you might want to get another fert with different NPK

looks cool nice you've got so many different strains, you're gonna need more light in the near future i think but good luck i'll keep an eye on this thread

Please post updates and pics of your setup. I'm looking to do something similar, perhaps with a jardin dr120 and a convertible 400 mh/hps lighting system for perhaps 6 plants tops. Where did you get your tent from (UK,US, CA?)

you could use a few daylight bulbs (5000k+) especially for veg and a little more power to flower all of those.

We got our tent from

they price match so we found a lower price online to get it. works great.

here are pics as of last night.. kinda lost track of days hehe cloning tonight and added a 65watt 6500 k cfl bulb and a 150watt hps light that we will use for flowering in the tent.

For the fertilizer i was a bit unsure but read some people use the 20-20-20 but at half dose. its been working great for us I also use some super thrive when i'm not feeding. All 3 are growing strong and healthy

all plants are in 3 gallon pots now. i believe my gf started to mix in worm compost into the dirt which gave great results.

all 3 plants top left is OG top right is Bubble Gum bottom right is Apollo 13 Flowering will start soon. were so excited.

Your doing great dude. Bubblegum is a good strain. Haven't had it in a while but got some good memories from it. I can't wait to see your harvest.

here are some new pics taken last night. i still haven't taken the pics off the good camera sorry for that delay. we cloned all 3 plants last night and they are starting flowering today. I also added 4 more 43 watt cfl's

and of course the clones we cut.

we were able to maintain 100 % humidity @ 75 degrees.

The 1 65 watt is in addition to the 12 42 watt cfl's, is that right? Seems like that should be plenty.

I know most people say you should use higher K bulbs for vegging, but I used only soft white, 2700k or 2800k. I went from seedling to flowering in less than 2 weeks, and they vegged like crazy, with the fan leaves growing well over the edges of the 12" diameter pots.

I think maybe if you have a lot of room (and a lot of lights) then go for it. But I'm fairly new at this, so I could definitely be wrong.

yes the 1 65 watt is in addtion to the 12 cfls i have in the tent. the plants are growing rapidly fast and are in 12/12 starting yesterday and noticed a good growth jump this morning.

2 questions:

First, how many days has it been since your seeds sprouted and approx how tall are your plants?

The yeild might suprise you? Do you know how much he will yeild? Or is it just another ignorant 'cfls dont work comment'? I'm really tired of reading this when my grow is finished oh boy I'm gonna give it to all of ya.

This was day 32 just after beginning flowering (ten day old photo). 4 cfls, added a fifth 26w 6500k few days later. I expect the yield to be substantial.

Measured her today and she is 17" tall. Get at it.
