First time grow - PC CASE, DWC, DNA 60 DAYS WONDER.

Hi all!

So finally after couple years of smoking I decided to grow my own stuff.

About a month ago I got myself PC setup from groboxz.co.uk. Dimensions are 42.5 cm width, 62 height, 19cm depth. So it's quite tall and It should do for

autoflowers.

18/02

Germinated two seeds about 2:00pm in wet kitchen paper towels, plate and bowl on it. Wrapped plate into wet towel and put it on my pc case. Turned lights on (24/7) so temperature on top of it was about 25C.
Cut and soak rockwool cubes. Shaked off unnecessary water and left them in dark place.


19/02

Checked on seeds about 11:00pm. Both of them cracked and sprouted little roots. Pretty decent, girls are ready to be planted into rockwool. I made two holes each about 1cm deep. Planted seeds then put presoaked cubes under made out of two 1,5L plastic bottles humidity dome. Also sprayed pc case inside with water. Tempreture 25C, humidity 44%..

Next update as soon as they sprouted.


ps. I got lots of pictures of setup on my mobile however my usb cable is broken so i can't post any yet. Should get it fixed in next few days.

So finally both of my ladies sprouted on saturday (20/02) and I fixed my camera today so I'm gonna post some pictures too. Earlier this morning I moved rockwool cubes to the system and added half strenght b'cuzz hydro nutes to the water. Water ph is about 5.5 - 6.0. I think that's quiet good for hydro.

My girls are still on 24/7 but I want change lightcycle to 20/4h however I'm experiencing temperature issues as when lights are off temperature goes down to about 16-17C and I guess that's not good enough for my ladies. I don't wanna strees them with low temperatures yet as they still very young.

Any ideas how to keep temperature over 20C when lights are off you guys?

Update no. 3.

Girls started to grow and sprouted couple new leafs. On wednesday added some b'cuzz root stimulator and hydro booster. Hopefully it's gonna help them grow better.

At the moment I'm experiencing temperature issues inside the box as when lights are on temperature keeps on about 35C and I think is to high. Any ideas how to put temperature down a bit? I was thinking about 1,5L bottle full of ice however it could be to big to feet into the box.

My girls are on 13th day of grow and they are doing well.

Finally I set up a target for this grow. I'm a heavy smoker and I do about 10g of street weed a week here. By street weed I mean 50% dry (or less) buds. I'll definitelly be just fine with 5g - quorter/oz of bonedry stuff a week. Ideally I'd love to crop 2 ozs in this pc case but anything over 40g will be more then fantastic too. Obviously I know that's not gonna happened anytime soon however is good to have target to achieve lol and hopefully I'm gonna learn a lot about growing.

In order to yield and learn as much as possible I'd like to provide my girls with ideal conditions.

Temperature keeps about 27C - 28C on the bottom of the case which is kind of good. However temperature on top is about 5 degrees higher (closer to lights) so I'm gonna try to lower it by putting bottle full of ice in front of my intake fan. We'll see if that gonna help.

Moreover I made up 'DIY CO2 Generator' (pretty much by adding yeast and sugar into bottle with water) and introduced ladies to CO2 couple days ago. Pictures could be posted if needed.

As I mentioned in my last post I've been using roots stimulator and over the weekend lots of roots showed up. I'm kind of happy about that fact.

I'm in the second week of grow now and ladies are getting bigger everyday. So finally I decided to either LST or SCROG them to maximized the yield. However I'm unconcerned about that yet as my case is kind of tall (62cm) and I don't know if there is much point into doing that as it is only 42.5cm widht so I don't know if space for e.g. SCROG gonna be sufficient. Need to do more research about it.

Cool, I've been wanting to see the 60 Day Wonder. I like the PC, I don't know if SCROG is the way to go but you probably ought to LST for sure to maximize your floor space and keep your canopy short. What light cycle are you using? Any reason you don't keep them under constant light? Aren't they supposed to mature in any light cycle?

Looking good. I've been looking into this strain will deff be keeping up to date with your grow. As far as your temps go a fan circulating the air inside the box and maybe some kind of vent if possible on the top would help (though might not want to put holes in the box) or just keeping box open slightly ajar when lights on. I have bit of a problem with low lights off temps but got a tube heater which takes the chill off. Duno if you'll be able to fit one in.

I've read these plant yield atleast an Oz, will be interesting to see how they go.

Hi man. I've been researching about LST / SCROG for all afternoon. I haven't decided yet but I'd rather go for screen as is easier to make It happens I guess. I can't see myself using hooks etc. etc. and from other pictures I saw on internet I know this strain is really bushy so It should be easier to use screen. Well I'm open for any ideas and I appriciate them all but just wanna find ideal way for myself.

Light cycle is 22/2h just now. The reason why I don't keep them under constant light is mentioned before temperature issue as temperature in box is about 35C on average and in my opinion it is too hot.
That's why I was trying to put it on 20/4h or 18/6h in order to lower temperature.
I know that ideal lightcycle is 24/0h for them (as they're autoflowers) and they will grow better under that light cycle but I'm not sure about that yet. In fact there is not that much information about this strain on web at all as it's new on the market.
Finally to lower temperature I'll be placing bottle full of ice in front of inhaust fan tonight to see how it is gonna affect temperature.

Now I'm thinking about getting USB - thermometer to keep on monitoring temperature for all day (as gonna use computer program to keep on tracking it) so I'd know how fast ice melts down and what happens with temperature. And that should help a lot.

Yo. Cool. Hm... well let me explain.
Space is not an issue for me at all as got big cupboard to keep PC grow case in it however I'm sharing flat with some other people who can't know about me growing.
I mean we know each other for long time and they're fine with me smoking but they are not gonna be happy about me growing lol. So that's why I can't really left case open to lower temps as in 2 - 3 weeks they gonna start smell badly.

What's gonna happened probably is I'm gonna either get stronger fans or will be using bottle/ice in front of inhaust.

Yea kl fair enough. if you get any issues with odour would recommend thinking about getting some ona pro gel in the closet when the plants start to smell. meant to ask earlier what wattage and spec is the light?

Yeah I was thinking about either ONA or homemade carbon filter. I'm gonna sorted it out in a week.

Light is cfl 125w blue bulb. I think that wattage is good enough for two plants. I'll be getting new bulb in about two weeks with red light spectrum.

Have a look on pictures mate. I can't tell you as that my first grow so I can't compare. Everything goes pretty decent I guess.

Hi there.

It's been a while. Girls are on 19th day from seed now and they are doing well. I couldn't manage to lower temperature so it keeps on 34C. Humidity is about 40%. Hopefully they will start getting taller soon as they are still a bit small.

Girls are on 21st day from seed and they are doing just fine. Decided to LST them.
