Normally they get pissy trying to make it down to the res for one reason or another

Or peeps get ansty and fill the res too high and it "drowns" the little roots

Firstly. It's great it's better. Good news.

Secondly. It's your calmag. You may as well be using really hard water. It's the same thing

Isn't your water 25 - 50ppm out the tap anyway???
Yes it is, usually in the 30s and have seen it down in the upper 20s ppm, the reason why I used so much was from videos of other dwc guys using it and I basically copied their formula. Since my water is super soft it has very little calcium or minerals.
I thought about switching to a masterblend/calcium nitrate/ Epsom salt combo and add in some boosters later in flower

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of calcium in your well. It's buffering your water.

Just like lime in a garden.
If their is it couldn't be much as their is no rock around here. You can dig down a 100 ft and hit water and their is no rock at all. I'm positive their is some though as it is what makes up my 30s ppm after all. I was just shooting for around 200 ppm with my well water and Cal mag combined. A lot of people have higher ppm with just plain tap than my combo.

How about soft clay??
What's the geology of your local area?

Ok op 320 ppms?

What are you using?
What the rh
What kind of lights and temps :)

Under LED, temps 71 degrees slightly more during the day but only goes to 73. It's been in the mid 90s last couple days so temps got a little higher.
Water rez is a mix of Cal mag and general hydroponics 3 part solution .

15 ml of Cal mag brings up 39 ppm well water to 210 ppm in 5 gal of water. The rest is equal amounts of 3 part of of the general hydroponics ferts of micro, bloom and veg. Total ppm is 310-317 depending on which bucket.

Mostly silty loam. Close to a major river. Their can be patches of clay and even red Rock around these parts but rare to see. Have to travel around 50 miles east before you get into any rock.

Can't say where exactly I'm at cause it's not exactly legal here. Lol

This is water temp during the hottest part of the day. Not in a spot I wanna be in but not life threatening for the plants.

I also have 24 plants started for some gorilla growing. These are crosses I bred. This unusual looking seedling is a g13 x critical mass.

Could have gotten some pH down on them when lowering it the first time.

Theres your problem :(

Need to fix them roots

Lose the calmag for now

Mix the 3 part till it hits 450-500

But you gota figure out why you got the rot i think you over did it on the cal mag but not sure

I never add extra cal mag unless i see deficiency thats what your nutrients are for :)

As to the root issue

Rip off anything that comes off with a easy pull basically whatever comes right off take it right the fuck off

You can either rinse and treat with h202 .

Or use hydroguard or another micro beneficial

The problem is is you are giving it some straight cal mag + the base nutes which have plenty of cal mag haha

Just my oppinons though but reserve the cal mag for when you see deficiency.
