so how do you guys like this set up???
cfl 1st.jpg

The first 18 days were spent underneath a 4' t8 2 bulb 6500k..
Now it has moved into a reflective garbage can, sounds silly but its nice..
it has 4 25 watt 6500k bulbs and 2 50 watt 3000k bulbs...
that pic is of it just after putting plant into set up..

When you say 50watt.. Are you talking the equivalant?

Because my 42watt (150w equiv) bulb is way bigger than your 50watt.

Looks great Love420

I've seen some other "garbage can" grows on some other sites that turned out very nicely.. So I'll be checking around on this one..

Good Luck,

I'm glad i have watchers!

Yeah man, the CFL forum on this site is a good one.. If you put up "constant" updates with pictures.. THEY WILL COME.. lol

My journal thread has just under 500 posts and over 10,000 views now :) Just put your updates and ppl will follow... Also (shameless plug) Come check out our R.C.C thread.. you'd be a prime candidate to join the revolution !!

R.C.C= Rollitup CFL Crew, come join up...btw nice setup and good luck with your plants. It looks like some of your lights are in the red spectrum and some are blue, if so just wanted to say i did that too and think i should of only had the blue spectrum for veging...just a thought

thanks for the tip on the spectrum. Ill post pics of the new bulbs but it will be a while before i can afford them.. like two weeks..
do you think all red would be best for flowering?

what do you have foar ventilation?
for ventilation i have a fan blowing in the top and it seems to keep the temp perfect and the air moving.. its workin pretty well..

The camera i took those pics with takes out the glare that is inside the garbage can, which in person looks like im staring into the sun.. , but its def. just as good as or even better then just a white room...

In the pics it shows my current set up: two 42watt 3000k cfl's and 4 23watt 6500k cfl's. Soon i will have a full out flowering set up: 12 42watt 3000k cfl's 4 above and 8 surounding the plant. i will post pics as soon as i get them...

Looking good, don't keep those lights TOO close or youll end up like me with really short bushy plants. If i could go back i would have kept mine 2-4 inches away instead of 1-2 inches like i did.

it is actually like 2 inches away, the angle of the pic makes it look way closer. but thanks for that advice..

Yeah that's good just make sure you are adjusting them frequently so that the plant has something to stretch to.
