Nice little setup you got going, I have a few plants around that age as well, also I noticed you using a CFL flood/porch light was wondering how it's going for you? I'm planning on purchasing two of them to put under my makeshift hood.

Check attachments for shots of my babies, I'm hoping I don't have the lights to close.

Well here we are, day 24. I started foliar feeding the Grow Big to my gals 3 days ago and today was the first day I watered them with it. I haven't needed to water in about 4 or 5 days but today I did (1/2 tsp. per quart of water) and I will see how this result works out for me. It seemed to perk the plants right back up though, I felt as if they were sagging a tad bit. The new pictures I am quite excited about, as the plants have grown quite well in their new environment. Nonetheless, I still feel as if my plants are growing slower than everyone else's in this forum, but oh well... no hurry I suppose. You can see from the pictures the side and top views of each of the 24 day old plants. The 3 smaller plants are coming along quite nicely, slow like the rest though. Anyway, here are the pics. Would be even better if it weren't for that ugly light burn marring the plants from the older stages of growth!

Ok Ic what you mean, some of mine look like that I thought it was under watering, so as my room's get to 90 at times, that's more than likely what's causing it right? why do out door plants handle 100 plus weather and indoor under 80, does it have something to do with ventilation?

Your grow is looking good, mine are not far away, my grow seems to be going pretty slow as well, Gotta be the Flo's, as you stated no hurry, the main thing is that they grow. I also can't wait to get HPS but first I'm going to get a couple of those CFL flood lights similar to what you are currently using, they only cost like 35 bucks a piece, I'll probably have to get one at a time though.

I will check in time to time to see your progress, good job and keep up the good work!

Thanks guys....... Yes plants that are outdoors have constant supplies of fresh Co2 as well as the added wind and natural environment, so they are much more likely to withstand temperatures of 100. I got mine for about $28.00 shipped from eBay. Working well so far. I definitely need more lights though. I'm sure this along with no fresh ventilation is what is causing my plants to grow so slowly.

28 bucks on eBay, but how much did you have to pay for shipping and how long did you have to wait to receive it? I'm thinking it would be more worth wild to pay a few extra bucks rather than having to wait, also you have that chance that you buy from a prick even though their feedback score may be good, I used to deal in eBay quite a bit, it happens a lot, today I try to stay away from eBay.

I learned something new about fans for ventilation, I don't have an osculating fan only a direct flow, at times like I mentioned before my room's get over 90, I heard to keep a fan on 24/7 for ventilation, so that’s what I did but the closest plant to the fan started leaning, I started to panic thought for a moment and came to realize it had to be the force of the fan, I posted pics of it and Skunkish reminded me that plants need to breathe and that makes a lot of sense, I can be a real dumb ass at times.lol

So I turned the leaning plant around to face the fan in the opposite direction in hopes that it will blow back in place, also at night when it's cooler I've been turning of the fans, opening all my windows and closet doors for fresh air and ventilation, seems to be doing fine so far, hopefully it helps until I get a couple osculating fans.

See attached Images, the second image was the one furthest away from fan, had no effect.

Well here we are... day 26. LOTS of progress in the past few days, the Grow Big is doing wonders for the plant size. Day 22 for the little guys, I'm growing them very slowly because I have ran out of soil. I'll be picking some up tomorrow from the Depot and then will be transplanting the little guys out of their 16oz. cups and into the remaining 3 1 gallon pots I have. This also means I'll need much more lighting. I have decided to get a 400W MH light with the advanced spectrum colors to flower and veg with for the future... no HPS for me! I'm sure the Day 22's are a little rootbound, so as soon as I transplant and water with the Grow Big I am expecting a growth explosion! Well here are the newest 4 pictures............ Hope you enjoy. Comments are welcome.

Well it's day 28 and the plants are getting bigger still. Tomorrow is my ambitious day. After I get out of work, I will be purchasing more soil and transplanting the smaller plants into 1 gallon pots and the larger plants into their final 3 gallon destinations. I really can't wait to see how quickly the smaller plants grow in a larger pot. The Grow Big has done a great job thus far. I'm going to also pick up a 42w CFL with a reflector to add to the grow space for a wider light coverage area. I finally caved in and bought a $25.00 pH up/down kit. I will also be buying a Britta water filter for the tap... I've grown tired of purchasing water jugs from the store. I've thus far completely managed to avoid any type of nute burn *crosses fingers* so everything is running quite smoothly at this point. I plan on vegging the plants to their full maturity, at which point I will be purchasing a 400w MH light for the flowering stage. The days have been flying by lately. What does everyone think? Do they look healthy? -d.oz :leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

P.S. - More updates on day 31 after transplant.... unless it goes terribly wrong! ...Then I'll flood the forum with desperate pleas for help! ...:?

Well, I transplanted the plants into their 3 gallon homes last night, and the other ones out of 16oz. cups and into 1 gallon pots. I need to purchase a pH and britta filter system so I don't have to keep buying water, it's getting annoying. The Day 30 plants are lookin' good though, I plan on vegging for 1-2 more weeks here until I start seeing some preflowers. The transplant alltogether took me 3 bags of soil mix but it'll be worth it. Here they are......

LST begins early in the AM on day 31........... I FIMed one of the big guys and am in the process of tying down the other one. I will decide which one I like the most when this grow is in flowering and use this method on the smaller ones within the upcoming month.

it's all a waiting game, which is why I grow so many strains.

So i'm looking online for a nice strain.mmmm that looks nice, i think we get some o that. It turns up, it starts growing, then its got 3-4 months before its ready. Before that time is up the idea of that strain is old and i'm thinking about something else. Before I know i'm growing 13 strains.

My pockets and walls are too shallow for that at this point in my life. 5 years or so I'll have my own backyard and shed to play around with. =)

Updates, updates!

I've started my LST vs FIM grows on the 2 plants. Depending on which works out best for me, I will use it for future grows. As you can see, I have removed one of the plants from the grow. It killed me, but it was a little weak and I couldn't comfortably fit 5 plants in. So, oh well. Life goes on..... Today was also an interesting grow because I made a makeshift exhaust fan and it actually works!! I took a spare 5" fan I had left over and attached it to some metal ducting, cut a 5" hole in the ceiling and hooked it up. Turns out my grow room stays about 5-7 degrees cooler on the average. So I'm very excited about that. I also bought a Brita filter today to use on my tap. I now also have pH up and pH down for monitoring the pH of my water. No more buying bottled water. Thank god. Anyway, thanks for reading. More updates in about 3 days, I'm just gonna let my plants do their thing for a while.

I just accidentally knocked my pot over with one of the little plants in it and the plant came right out on the floor. I immediately repotted it but let me tell you how fucking pissed at myself I am. I should just left it alone. Hopefully it'll survive. Should, but might take a few days to recover.

Ouch, I've done that a couple of times but didn't drop far and the plants didn't completely come out, I just had to ad a lot more soil and some water, they are doing fine now, also I recently spilt some water into my power strip like a dumb ass, now I have everything hanging.

Your plant should be fine, specially if your roots didn't get mangled, do you have any pictures of it?

Eh I'm not too worried about it.... I'll take some pics in a few days and if it lives it lives. I'm just really focused on the 2 healthy big plants I'm growing right now and if the other 2 turn out well, then bonus. Your plants are coming along nicely I see.
