okay. hopefully now that i nuted for first time and put some fresh organic soil under the roots it will take off. theres alot more room for roots in the new pots i love the size of them they fit perfect in my space. the soil i used before was like rock hard so i chipped off most of the side dirt exposing some bottom roots. heres pics how are they looking. ive only had the lights for a day and i can tell my plants love them.

they'll never go back to green. the new growth is the healthy stuff that hasnt had a chance to yellow for whatever reason yet. Not sure why you're yellow... have you been pH-testing your water? Or lowering it to 6ish instead of just using tap?

usually it doesnt matter this early, but something's up so you might wanna check your basics

i'm also doin my first seed grow journal ever, check my sig im almost on week 4

and my bomb mystery plant was in diff soil then my bigger one. i gave it mg organic choice and it seems to love it i left some dirt on the root mass from the bigger plant when i transplanted and the dirt was like rock hard and i could tell they were having trouble breaking threw the hard dirt so i broke off dirt until i saw roots and i put it in a pot with the organic choice

how big of pots should they be in for a decent yeild. remember i have 3 plants my box is 1.6'wide 2ft deep
My girls are in 3 gal pots and I really wish they were in 5 gallons. Unfortunately they are all entangled in the screen of my ScrOG so its too late to transplant them now. Lesson learned! As a rule of thumb though I think its best to go as big as you can with the pots. I am reading Ed Rosenthal's grow book right now and he suggests that you make the limiting factor for the size of your pots the amount of room there is for pots in your grow space; basically that your pots should be as big as you can fit! Ed Rosenthal is a pretty good source. He explains in the book that your plants roots will grow into any size pot (no reasonable pot is going to be too big) and the bigger your plants roots are then the more water and nutrients they can absorb to support bug growth. Of corse bigger pots will be more expensive to fill with soil, and you dont want to put a plant into a big pot until its ready. You have to gradually increase the pot size because a little plant in a big pot wont be able to absorb all the water in the soil fast enough and it will stay wet too long. Just my two cents.

Im no expert on plant disease, but I can guess at what your problem might be. I think that leaf tips curling down can be a result of over watering. and that gradual yellow shading looks like it could be a nitrogen deficiency to me. It would be uncommon for a young plant like that to have a nute deficiency because there should be more then enough for it in the soil. But over watering can cause nutrient lockout because of the lack of oxygen to the roots, so your problem could be a nitrogen deficiency as a result of the over watering despite its availability in the soil. Thats just a shot in the dark, hope it helps! But for the most part your plants are looking great! Cant wait to see them grow up... haha

I need help!! my leafs are all turning yellow! on both my plants and the tips of the new growth are turning yellow brown and super crispy!! what did i do wrong?? could i of burned them when i nuted with african violet ? im tripping i hope they dont just yellow out and die imma try to post pics soon. i full dosed them like a noob i thought since it was only 7-7-7 they could take it.. since i wanted to clean the soil i poured a bottle of water in each plant shook it alittle and poured another bottle of water and shook it some more hopefully trying to flush them. think it will work?

A really smart guy over at GrassCity tells people in your situation to transplant, actually he tells almost everyone in every situation to transplant but it seems to help a lot haha. Be careful not to flush too much and drown your plants, they gotta dry out between waterings or you could just make your problems worse. Especially because your leaf tips are curled down like that your problems could be from over watering already so flushing might hurt more then help. By putting them in some new soil you give the roots a chance to expand into some fresh soil that isnt saturated with salts from your nutes. Fix the roots, fix the plants. Good luck I really hope they pull through!

i stopped adding nutes after the first death to the bomb mystery. now i have 5 plants loving my box not counting the weak window seal plants my friend gave me. ohh and i havent seen any growth on them since transplant. and they are tall and there was only 3 inches of roots under them. do you think they will come back and live or are they a waist of space? i would hate to have to kill my friends plants. they were in rock hard soil and she said they are 2 months old and they are skiny long and she cut lots of leafs off.

Love the new cab, I've been looking for a metal turnkey cab myself.. if that's what yours is >.<

Send me the inner dimensions of the cab and I'll see what I can do! Are you sure you want buckets? I could make a two rail aero-rail system that would house 6-8 plants.. all depends on size of grow space and what you want sir. I have a feeling you want to keep some plants in soil and keep some in hydro? Hmu sir
