UPDATE:
Another update since I've seen a little growth! All the blueberries are kinda wild looking still. I've slowed the watering down a bit, because I do think I may have been killing them with kindness. Blueberry#4 is all fucked up, it just flops around. May be culled from the group if there isn't improvement in the next few days. I think they are looking good overall. How about you guys? I just want to get them under the mh/hps!!!!
THE PICTURES ARE LABELED ONCE YOU OPEN THEM

get em under it man, just put it up far enough. there is no such thing as too much light, just too much heat. you will propbally see a growth increase with the better light on them

Oh boy!!! I may have to do that. Heat is no issue at all. I read some people starting their hid real high and slowly lowering it daily. Is this needed? I can be 3" under cool tube w/o feeling burn. Maybe start with the mh a foot above or so? Not that your input/help isn't appreciated brute, but could I get a few different responses from a few different people just for varieties sake!? Variety is the spice of life after all.....or maybe that was weed :) ! Thanks again brute!!!

yeah a foot sounds safe, and raise it as they grow. with a good lamt they dont have to be as close as a CFL

a foot? Put it where it needs tobe start off abit higher and keep an eye on the temps on the top of the plants, if its too hot move it up move it down if temps are low

I go straight from cfl's to hps after day three, my hps sits around 2 feet from the plants with a deflector on it,

My light is in a cooltube with proper ventilation so I can keep the light 3-4 inches from tops without excessive heat! So your saying I can start my mh at 3-4 inches with no problem? No need to ease them into it?

you should be able to put that light 3ft up and still get enough light to your plants without them stretching. as far as i know plants mostly stretch with CFL due to thier lack of lumen output.

mini update:
Well, I put the little weeds under the 400w mh last night. I'm very very nervous/excited to see how they take it. I have the light at about 1.5 ft. From the canopy. Zero burning at that distance, so ill probably lower it a bit once I get home from work. Also will be adding pictures tonight in update!! Gotta show you guys the mutant blueberry #4, before its culled from the group. Never seen a plant so jacked up!!

Well the good thing about mh is that it tend to help your plants NOT to stretch. I switch my veg plants from an hps to a digilux mh and they are alot more bushy. I agree with an earlier poster that there is no such thing as too much sun just too much heat. I have a fan right at my canopy so I get my 600w as close as 8 inches and the girls love that!

update:

Shit shit shit. I was in denial at first, but I've accepted that my babies have a serious problem. The strange yellowing and a little browning on the tips of a couple leaves. I don't know what it is. Seems to be mostly exclusive to the blueberries. Is it nute burn? I don't think its a nitrogen deficiency. I haven't added any nutes to the ffof...ugh. please help! I'll research on my own, but your opions count...well...most of yours do :). Pictures. Look really close on the 1st and 3rd pics. That's the blueberry showing the symptoms most. And of course the retarded blueberry #4.
