sometimes those first leaves are yellow from lack of light getting to them when they develop, also could be high moisture while still stuck inside the seed casing. you do want to water carefully especially using FFOF soil as the more water the more nutes released, only give them what they need to keep growing.

probally around 3-4 weeks. not really sure going to see how the LST goes and put into flower when i have enough shoots to fill my SCROG screen theni will flower the best of the 4 if i still have that many left, going to try and clone sex my plants so i can eliminate more of them after i eliminate 3 more tomorow.
 
UPDATE: 11/26/11
Well, its been awhile!! Had a kick ass holiday week! Hope all of you had the same!! Now down to business. The seedlings are 7 days since they sprouted. They are looking alright as far as I can tell. One of the 3 afghan kush sprouts was tossed, it never opened up after sprouting. The 2 remaining kush and one headband(?) Sprouts look the healthiest in my limited opinion. The 4 blueberry sprouts are all bigger than the other sprouts, but the leaves all look deformed, like cabbage leaves or something is the best I can explain it. The worst is blueberry #4. The leaves are super mutated looking. Is this normal for the blueberry strain? Also, how soon can I A: transplant them into their final home? and B: put these girls under the 400w mh? Im really itching to get them under the mh, but don't want to jump the gun. I can get my hand comfortably under the mh in cooltube at 2-3"!!! I feel like they are all behind in growth...input? Here come the pictures! They are in this order: headband(?), kush#1, kush#2, blueberry#1, blueberry#2, blueberry#3, blueberry#4, followed by a few shots of the whole gang! And before anyone says anything, the soil looks real wet, because I just watered each one before their photo shoot! Also, I keep the cfls 2-3" away, they are moved up for pictures! With that said, please answer my questions and comment to your hearts content!

Edit: that is not correct order of pictures, sorry. Not sure what happened there!? You should be able to tell which are the lighter green cabbage leaved blueberries. The second to last sprout pictured is bb#4.

looking good man, no clue why the leaves look like that but im sure its probally just genetics. either way they look fine to me. im not good when it comes to diagnosing plant problems but there are alot of people on here that can tell you what it might be if there even is a problem.

as far as the light i know alot of people who vegg with CFL and flower with the HID lighting. im sure the HID will be fine on them. just dont burn em. you will see the growth soon. they can only grow as fast as they photosinthisize (however thats spelled) so this stage of the game is a bit slow, they are putting alot of energy towards the roots trying to get a good foothold. a few more days they will start growing a bit quicker.

looking great overall in my opinion. keep up the good work :)

not sure if its causing a problem but they do look really wet, do you have good drainage?

if you see the leaves start to curl down you will know they are overwatered i had same problem with mine in early stage
 
Great post, I am about to start sprouting my first experiment in the same type of cabinet as yours! It is great to see you starting so successfully and I appreciate all the helpful photos as well, I plan on copying you all the way! SAfter all imitation is the most sincere form of flattery...

The soil drainage seems fine. Ffof mixed with about 25% Perlite. I thought it could be overwatering. Still seems a little odd its only on the blueberries though right? I'm giving them the same amount of water, give or take a few sprays. Like I said in my post, I watered plant, took picture, watered another plant, took picture ect...ect...ect.. that's why the soil looks so wet in the pictures. I let them get nearly bone dry about 2 inch. Down before I water again. I don't know?! Like you guys said it looks like overwatering for sure. So ill hold back on water for the blueberries and see if they unwrinkle and perk up!

Thank you, I really appreciate it! Although I think there are much better more experienced growers you could learn from, I am very flattered and will be glad I help any way I can. Feel free to ask any questions. You should start a journal to help you out as well. I'd love to see your setup!
 
i didn't realize you were in FFOF. i hate on that stuff. i tried it for my first grow and had nothing but ph issues all the way thru. it was at 5.3 right out of the bag. you may want to add some dolomite lime to your soil for when you transplant them

I've heard lots of people love it and a lot of people hate it. It's just like anything else Ive read on here I suppose. My runoff PH seemes to be in the acceptable range, but I will for sure keep the dolomite in mind for down the road! Appreciate the help! It was ffof or mg for options. Not that I have any negative experience with mg, but the ffof was only a few bucks more expensive. I wanted to go soil for my first grow, as I heard its more forgiving than hydro or a soil-less mix. I'll see how it goes and make adjustments for the next go round! Thanks again though!
 
my next go around i will get some untreated soil and add my own nutes, screw this water release shit......im getting pissed with my grow.
glad to see yours is going well tho keep up the good work :)

Yeah, I saw you were having a problem with the time release mg burning your girls. That sucks dude, I hope they recover. It stinks that you cant even flush em out without releasing more nutes.
 
i just put up some more pics from this AM check em out if you want. at the rate im going your gonna catch up to me in no time :)

but look on the bright side, if i make all the mistakes, you will learn from that and not make them as well :)
