Things starting to heat up!!! Going to give the girls a drink later on this afternoon or this evening. The new leaves are shooting up and the plant is starting to branch out really well which should give me some good clones. The height of all the plants is starting to even out. They were all different sizes and one was like a lil runt but they are almost all the same size and starting to grow horizontally and its clear to see how this will help make light more even at the tops of the plants. Today is the start of week 4. I will switch the lights to 12/12 flower next monday or tuesday.

:weed:exciting... post some pics hombre!
im really interested in these T5 lights as a veg chamber.
but i mean why not go the whole way?? it seems logical to me, even price wise... just browsed some sites last night comparing lumens, watts, price, heat. size... between flouro, cfl, hid, and led...
who knew research could be fun.

Ill try to get some pics up soon. Got to find my camera. :) I think something important is the distance between the light source and the plants as compared to something like HPS because of the heat. The thing is that HPS when raised will cover a larger area which is very true but with my tubes all my plants are 100% covered at 1-2" away and soaking up everything with no heat stress at all. I am getting virtually the highest efficiency possible for the most part from my lights which makes them great to meet the needs that I have now. Let's see how this all turns out. Again I'll get some pics up when I find my camera.

Apologize for the delay with all the details and pics. I am about 2 weeks into flowering and will post some new pics of the first clear flowering pistils coming out. I'm pretty excited and the plants are doing well. I have learned quite a few things that will help me in my next grown even though this one seems to be going well.

Sorry for the delay but I had a ton going on with the Holidays and work related issues but now I'm back!!!

Anyways as you can see I was able to get a Denny's breakfast to-go plate and make a humidity dome for a few clone cuttings. I made 7 cuts in all. I used no rooting hormone and originally had the clones in cups of water with plastic over the top and stuck the stems in the water on top of those. I think it kind of worked but it was too much work for me trying to re-fill the water and what not so i decided to simply use the Denny's container, fill it with soil and hope for the best.

The clones were taken off flowering plants about 3 days in so might not have been flowering at all. I am attempting to have the clones taken off a 12/12 plants simply continue to grow in the flowering cycle with the 12/12 lights as you can see.

The plants continued to grow in water even though they had no roots. I even got fan leaves to grow. I started over with the same cuttings as if I was making a fresh cut. I cut off the fan leaves and side growth, clipped the leaves and stuck them in the soil. I have heard this will work but the root growth will take longer, but really my big plants will take a few weeks to complete anyways so I am hoping to simply have good roots when my first batch is finished and be able to transplant into a finishing pot continuing the flowering without have every really stopped it. The babies are standing firm so let's see what happens.

Now to the ladies.

They are a couple 3 weeks into flowering. The growth and the branching is great. I am looking at at least 4 tops on each plant and maybe up to 8 on the strongest plant.

They have all started to produce the immature pistils as you can see in the pics. I just woke up one morning a couple days ago and BAM!!!! to my surprise the start of budding. I have heard that when cuttings are taken from a mature flowering plant that the next flowering time may end up being shorter than typical. I have seen where peoples plants show no signs until the last two weeks in some cases and especially with plants like OG Kush so I was not expecting much for a while. Now I am so excited I am just looking to see what happens next.

Any insight and advice is appreciated.
I have learned a ton even up to this point that you can not learn simply by research.
At the end I will share some ideas that I am going to implement next time to make my grow even better hopefully.

Enjoy!! One last note: With the lights I currently have and looking at my space I could probably grow 6 plants with 3 or 4 weeks of veg without much concern. Hopefully by the time I'm finished there will be more hopping on the T-5 bandwagon.

interesting to see if your cuttings take root. i have seen them root with no powder before. but it was only 60-70%
thats still pretty high survival rate considering what lots of other plants are like to clone.

lookin good and bushy, have you switched your lights to
BBRRRRBB yet????:bigjoint:

Thanks new pics coming soon. The girls are pretty incredible and are better than I could have ever expected. I had to move the girls cause I'm going to try to do maybe 12 or more plants next time. Going to set up a garage. Some of the clear hairs have started to turn a little brownish. I guess this is the amber color that gets mentioned. Starting to see crystals on the leaves. The girls had to be trimmed a lot and the leaves wilted slightly while cutting but after a night of rest they were better than ever. I see many thoughts about how much to prune/trim but my plants respond really well.

The clones are actually flowering which is crazy to see on plants that are 1" tall. The growth is continued and I have to assume there is a little root growth because they stand up by themselves. If the clones grow to a couple inches i will put them in dixie cups and see how it goes from there. I took 7 cuttings and they all seem to be growing but not sure if they will survive. I am always pesimistic and then if it works I'll just be extra excited.

Happy Holidays to everyone and blow a couple for me. Smoking some Christmas Confidential. Really L.A. Confidental but $35 an 8th for Christmas. BOMB!!!
