First grow, looking for lighting advice on a 3x3 tent.

Hey guys..

Just about to get underway with purchasing everything I need to begin my first grow.

Got my eye on the mars hydro 3x3 tent, lighting wise at the moment I am leaning towards the fairly new quantum board from mars hydro, the TSW2000 to be exact.

Ive seen some good results using this light and its readily available where I am in the world (south east asia) ...

Not sure if there are any other lights out there that I should be considering, Im trying to stay at around 300usd but i can stretch to 400-500 if the extra money made a big difference.

I will be growing a mix of autos and photoperiods but not at the same times.

Thanks in advance, im still learning and just trying to read up as much as possible but lighting I just need some real world advice as I dont want to blow a bunch of money on bad products.

I looked at timber but I cant get them where I am, shipping would be astronomical and they are just not easy to get hold of, what HLG would be my best bet for a 3x3 do you think, just been looking at spider farmer sf2000 also but I really dont know what i'm looking at to be honest.

What country are you in?

And are you comfortable doing any DIY or do you just want a plug and play light?

Stay away from Mars. With a $300 budget look at HLG, with a $500 budget look at Timber. If you don't need led go with a 315 CMH, great light.
!00% can't get timber unfortunately, I might be a bit out of luck with getting anything imported so maybe have to stick to asian brands although I might be able to get paltiunum led although very expensive

That mars tsw2000 is not a bad light and its good value.
Yeah there are lights a fair bit more expensive that are a better but it will suit your space and is in your budget as well as most importantly been available.

Well usually you want around 50w per square ft so for the 3x3 you would want around 450w actual power draw i would get like two 150w hps and some good cobs
