Patience is a good thing for a grower to have  You're getting close. Looking forward to reading some smoke reports.

Thanks xebeche, I'm looking forward to a smoke report myself :).

The PE pretty much looks good to go but I'm still not seeing any amber trichs (I wanted a few before harvest) mostly cloudy trichs, pretty much any day I plan on starting her drowing. Cindy is also ripening, I figure maybe another 4-7 days on her and BB is just growing her buds. I'm going to make it rain on BB tomorrow (Cindy responds very well to this technique) and a few days later she'll get a nice feeding.

Below are a few of my favorite high resolution pictures.

I'm patiently waiting on Cindy and PE, it should be any day now. The pictures of BB are from yesterday and today she got fed. I spent a good bit of time checking PE's trichomes and most still seemed clear not cloudy, definitely not amber.

The harvest begins for PE!! Today I filled her bucket up with hot water and I'll harvest in ~5-7 days. These are probably the last pictures of her alive.

Cindy and BB were both watered a few days back and are looking healthy. I think I'll start drowning Cindy in a day or two.

Edit: Funny sidenote, I called the dispensary I got the PE from and asked them, "How long do you usually let your PE flower?" and the response I received from the girl was, "Hmm I think it's like 30 to 40 days, yea that's it." Just made me chuckle a bit, at 30 days my flowers were nowhere NEAR done.

LOL. 30-40 days. Yeah, that's a good one.

So, what's the hot water for?
Trying something new, I've been reading about drowning the plants before harvest and the fermentation process that takes place. This occurs after the plants roots have died so the hot water is just killing the roots faster and speeding up that process (usually takes 7-10 days with normal water to drown).

Anyway, I've kept PE's bucket topped off with water and I'm going to wait until about 1-2 days after she stops drinking water to harvest. I wouldn't be surprised if PE will be ready in a day or two.

Cindy is looking healthy and I'm thinking either tomorrow or Friday she will start drowning. I'm loving BB's one top cola, I've noticed the bud filling out quite nicely in the last few weeks.

I had an extremely busy weekend helping a friend move but tomorrow I think I will be harvesting PE and starting the drown on Cindy. Tonight I actually pulled off a little popcorn bud from PE, set it in the oven for a quick dry and lit it up. It had a decent head high but nothing overpowering and was relatively mellow, the taste was nothing special but I hardly expected anything from a 10 minute oven dry. Definitely better than some bud I've bought at dispensaries but that's not saying much .

Bruce is still looking nice and I think I'll be feeding him soon. More pictures will be posted tomorrow and hopefully I'll get to see how much PE I got (wet weight), exciting times to come :).

Edit: Decided to post a few pictures since PE is mostly dead, me turning on the light isn't going to hurt for a minute and she is sitting in the dark.

The Pineapple was harvested today after 5 days drowning, chopped her down and the buds are drying the rest of the way. In a few days I'll have smokeable buds which will get better with a cure. I wanted to start Cindy drowning today but too busy with other things.

just to let you know I believe the hot water isn't beneficial. You are trying to starve the roots of oxygen not kill all of them I think it ruined your drowning

And then there was one. I really let Cindy go the last few days being so busy with other things so instead of drowning she was just chopped, she'll then be dried and cured. BB#3 is looking healthy, she's around day 55 of flower and hopefully she'll be done in 1-2 weeks.

I'm ready to be done with this batch and start the next grow to make improvements.

I just smoked 2 hits of Cindy that I quick dried in the oven and I'm feeling really really nice. With Cindy I tried to watch the trichs for when they change to ~20% amber but I guess I need more practice since she seems very indica-like (who knows maybe this seed was a cross with another in the dispensary). The Cindy really has a huge huge stoney ass indica high. I'm locked on the couch and I have the feeling that my fingers are dancing on the keyboard while typing. Concentration is quite difficult, this will definitely not be a smoke and go outside kind of bud. The smoke was fairly smooth, especially for the quick dry and I tasted a hint of something good, couldn't put my finger on it but hopefully that'll come out in the dry/cure. She smells skunky to me, maybe a little sweet.

Who knows maybe this seed somehow crossed with another plant but yea it was definitely hard to concentrate after smoking, I basically just stared at my computer screen for the first 45 minutes :).

I can't complain too much since I'm considering this my first real harvest (my plants I grew ~6months back I didn't even end up smoking, ended up using for hash). Each large jar is around 10g +/- .5g and the small jars are around 3.5g +/- .5g, my scale isn't the most accurate when it comes to tenths of a gram hence why I have the +/-.

Overall Yield from Pineapple Express: ~57g, I'd even low ball myself and just say 1.5 ounces
