Since the mother is so bushy, should I tie the fan leaves out of the way so that the budsites get more light, or just leave it how it is? What would you do to increase yield at this point?
Hey Moto, nothing wrong with tying or pinning the fan leaves so that the sideshoots get more light. I like to pin the leaves to each other, not with a pin though lol... I bend fan leaves from different nodes to interlock with eachother. As the plant grows the interlocked leaves will often pop out of place but no worries, just put em right back. There are different ways to accomplish better light penetration but for me this seems to be the easiest and it doesn't stress the plants too much. Peace.
This is a keeper for sure. Good job!
hope ya clone the piss out of her.

Do you guys think I would be better off taking like 4 more cloens off her? Will the bottom branches yield much anyway or is it just taking away from the top cola? I am trying to get a good yield and I have room for 9 more clones so that's not a problem at all... Plus I want some vegging for my outdoor grow :D

Depends on how long you feel like vegging her. You can take as many cuttings as you want, then when you're ready to flower her just use one of the clones as a new mom and start all over.

If you're really desperate to keep her around I would say go for it but other wise it's sometimes harder to get a 12/12 cutting to root. Take 2 cuttings from the bottom... it wont hurt your yield. Just have patience with them. Good Luck. Snuff

Well last night I went out and picked up 3 new plants :D. 2 Purple Haze and 1 Orange Kush. They are all about 4 days old now.

So, although we are now at day 24 of 12/12 I think she is kind of refusing to flower... Seems like she just keep vegging and vegging and vegging... There are pistils everywhere and lots of bud site but nothing that really looks like "flowers"... Is it because Kali Mist is a really strong Sativa and it doesn't like me trying to force it to flower so small/young?

should I trim up that big plant? What leaves need to stay and what can go? Can I just got off like every other set of fan leaves?

Moto were you intending to grow the big plant taller otherwise i would ahve left it alone, please post pics of the updaed trimmed version, ten sets of leaves sounds like a lot me,
have you topped it? because if not tht would make on of those nice 1 ounce central cola plants, hmmmm hmmmm.

drum roll please...

day 30 at 12/12 (after cutting 10 fan leaves)

hydro

pistils near the top

a pic of all the pruning..She's still sooo bushy..

new clone doner growing me some babies..

Orange Kush - 2 weeks under cfl

Purple Haze - 2 weeks as well

So far everything is doing great! I am excited to finally start seeing the looks of budsites :D But what has been difficult is trying to expose them all to light... there are sooo many other leaves that there isn't much penetration that's why you see soe of the fan leaves bent down and out of the way..

It won't really start to fatten up until the last couple weeks. I believe Kali Mist needs 90 days of flowering so you still have plenty of time. I really want to try the Mist, I hear it's excellent. Good Luck!!!:peace:

you may even need to go longer on kali mist t5's maybe up to 15 weeks ive seen some sativa's grow for, 90 sayd sound about right though, probably be a while before you see real buds forming on a sativa like kali mist though, nice n bushy for a sativa :D
